Brand new 2008 C6 w/LS3 6.2 liter Engine w/6 sp Manual w/28 miles on Odometer thru down 389rwhp 377rwto SAE, Damn that's nearly 450 crank HP for the new base C6 using 13% driveline loss!!! they say 0-60 3.8-4.0 secondsDeff 11's in 1/4 w/ competent driver of coarse.

LG motorsports is installing headers & dyno tune as I write this, there predicting 430rwhp damned close to Z06 territory w/2k in mods.

Hope I don't **** any Vette haters off, not trying to start a war just inspired by the latest from GM!

Very respectable cars. It's still hard to beat a good push-rod V8, where 16 valves are more than enough.

Forgot to add--yes, in 2009 model Z06 should be pushing 650+HP thru the 6.2 liter w/Supercharger the 7.0 liter will be discontinued...

Also for comparo the 2005-2007 base Vettes make an average 345-350 rwhp STOCK so as you can see a nice bump in rwhp! The poor Bast***s who bought the 2007 Vettes are pretty pissed right now, not nearly as bad a say the 2002 55 cars that were replaced in 2003 w/Kompressor w/150HP jump

Ohh yeah 1 more thing they finally spruced up the interior full Carbon Fiber, prof Leather wrapped dash, tu-tone fine leather seats w/double contrasting color stitching is being offered, though the (2) current color choices available are rumored to be shall we say LAME!

I'm going to have to agree with your second statement. The C6 Z06's should take a big hit once the new s/c z06 comes out. Maybe I can justify the C6 Z06 then as a third car or to replace my 2nd car. I am 99% sure I will be selling my spot for the blue devil. Dont see myself spending $100k+ for a chevy, albeit a damn fast one!

These new BASE C6's are going to be everywhere!!! & nearly all owners throw on headers it's gettin' hott in here

They are improving on the interior bit by bit.. its a good jump from what my C5 was like.. I cant believe they are releasing another new engine. Someone's definitely been busy in the R&D room..

I'm waiting patiently until the C6 Z06 drops a bit more in price and then I'm snagging me a black/black one to molest.

GM is really improving their cars. The C4 to C5 to C6 has been a HUGE transformation.



In lower end Benzes the interior sucks ***. The interior in my wife's POS 2006 ML500 is pretty cheesy/plasticky and it's got every option. It wasn't an inexpensive car, either.

You can't compare a low production AMG Benz interior to a higher volume GM car that costs 2/3 or less.
