2003 E55 AMG
You guys should have seen the lineup when I went to check out my 993TT...

They had these parked out front of the entrance to the building in a nice line one after the other:

- SLR 722 (I kid you not.. 30min after I replied to the thread and headed out to check out my car, there it was.. it was so coincidental that I was just talking about it that I let out a little chuckle.. I wish I had my camera).

- Red/Black Ferrari F430

- Yellow/Black Ferrari F360

- Black Lamborghini Gallardo

- Black Porsche 996TT

- Blue Bentley Continental GT

- And right at the end, some black/black E55 all tricked out..

I bet that was cool to see....still, even the 722 doesn't impress me that much. I was never a fan of the SLR, and after reading basically every article written in the mainstream euro auto press about the 722, it sounds like it is still more of a GT than anything. And for that I would much rather have a 575 Maranello or a DB9 since at that point its more about looks and passing/overtaking ability...

I would like to meet MJ though....he's one of the select few pro athletes that I actually have a lot of respect for

Drive one and then compare, its VERY different to a DB9 or 575 and more than just overtaking ability.

haha....I'd love to, but at 24 yrs old ( and rolling up in my C43) they probably wouldn't take me seriously enough to allow a test drive.

Has anyone ever sat in one of those? I can imagine what a PITA it is for 6'6 MJ to get into that thing.

I'm 6'3" and I've been in one and had plenty of room... you have to see SLRs in person to really appreciate them.

I'm not talking about the room inside. I'm talking about getting in & out of one. I've seen, sat & been driven in one. Trust me i appreciate them.
