yeah but it's going to be worth it. The 1000hp is only a possiblity if I remove the SC and add TT. BUT...The engine and tranny are already strengthened to withstand 1000hp. The tranny is already done and cost over $5K + install. Ross was just doing some last minute tolerarnce checks but this motor and tranny will not be comparable to an E55.

I'm actually glad I waited as the 82mm TB and monster pumps became available only recently.

I guaranteee the MB dragtimes record will be shattered by this June. I'm thinking sub 10.3 on SC and high 9's with TT. You are local so you can witness this yourself.

Bro, running 9's - 10.30 isn't solely decided by what's under the hoodyou need to be a helluva driver to keep RWD 1000rwhp car ON the track let alone obtain those crazzee ET's...

I wish you luck as well, but your ET goals are fanciful @ best. You'll prolly have grandchildren before your C55 is completed Remember "New2this" his car sat for nearly 2 yrs, tires went bad/flat, DMV registration ran out, only made 610RWHP w/vrp825 kit, ported heads/cams, 93 tune V12TT SL65...

Your last quote is sooo ballzy I gotta add it to my sig

What can I say, I was a Joe Namath fan when I was a kid. Maybe I can ask JRCart or DerekFSU to drive it. I just hope those beefed up control arms can keep the car straight too. btw...1000rwhp is close to 1200bhp which is likely out of range for any Modded street legal MB.

Not funny considering your car is scheduled right behind the completion of mine. I see you hauled it back to Vadim so we are both in the same boat but unfortunately my service ticket number is one ahead of yours

What do you mean hauled it back?? She never left!! My car arrived there Jan '08 and it's been there since. So therefore, first come first served buddy!!

Is your motor together yet?

My 5.7K should arrive at Vadim's shop by Monday if it's not already there! I told Vadim to have it at least drivable by the time I return from the sandbox at the end of June. Go Vadim!!

If you're talking about the car. Then I'm ahead of you since I delivered my car to him in mid Dec.

If you're talking about which motor arrives first then it's going to be a tight race. Mine is scheduled to be completed on Monday, the same day your motor is expected to arrive.

Hmmm....Does this sound like a coincidence? All I know is I hear alot of "Next Monday" but I don't know about you.

Don't forget you still need break-in time. So looks like I'm on schedule to crack the record before you.

Vadim had nothing to do with my schedule because Victor was in charge of completing my motor. Vadim has been waiting just like I have been so I don't think it's a coincidence.

We already put 800 miles on my 5.7K so another 200-300 and we should be good to go!

Your car might be finished before mine, as we still need to finish the SLR type coolers, but sorry to tell you AMGSC, my SL will be faster!!

Since you're in So. Cal we should run straight-up at the track when both cars are ready.

Don't know why Vadim declined my request to bore out my motor despite my persistence. If your car shows no ill effects from the sleeving after 5K miles then I'm sure Vadim will be more comfortable with boring it out like yours, possibly increasing the stroke and then put two monster turbos in it.

The biggest challenge both of us face is the stand-alone engine managment system that must be custom developed by PC.

Just realized both of us are in the wrong forum section but it's got the highest traffic and the most modders. Hey E55 guys sorry about that!

why don't you just buy a whole new SLR engine and tune it by Renntech to 750hp ><

i think it is easier

and maybe you can add other things to it later.

I actually got a pretty incredible deal on this project from Vadim plus the fact that I can help other C55's get to ridulous power levels on a budget once Vadim builds a kit based on my project.

Sounds like a plan. I agree, we must meet up and do some runs at the track!

No worries, Vadim just doesn't like sleeves. It will be interesting to see the final numbers our 55's produce since they are different.

I'm not all that worried about the engine management system. I have faith in PC and they are experts in their field so they should be able to get it done right.

My build is still on-going but due to delay after delay I've decided to bring my car to a different shop. I’m hoping to complete my project by the end of this year. I definitely won't be anywhere near 1,000hp though.

Basically every build in this 1,000 HP AMGs thread was a Huge Failure!

Although Havoc's project is still going, the other SL project has ended last year (also in failure) with speculations that the car never made anything more than 750 hp

Ahmad, note that the above statement was made on May of 2009, so it's been a year and the car has not made a single good pass down the 1/4 mile yet

Yea I know. And every couple weeks or months he comes back and says hes doing some other kinda crazy build and its gonna make so and so power and run so and so times Talking about how it's gonna be ready at the end of the week and he's driving it now but the dyno shop was closed because it was raining and somehow his cylinder walls got scored from a fire in the shop but wasn't noticed til months later after the car left the shop bla bla bla bla. He is supposedly gonna run with you guys at Sac soon It' a very entertaining build to say the least lol

I really wish he would come out to Sacramento and try out the car just to see where it stands and where it needs improvement. And regardless of the times that it runs (even if it runs 13s) at least he will know where the car stands and what is the bottle neck and what needs to be improved I tried to get him to come out and run his car to the last 2 Famoso and last 2 Sacramento events but no luck.... hopefully he'll join us in two weeks and test out his car.

Not really... His 1 mile run tells a different story. Speedriven/ Marcin started this project about 6 months ago and it is complete, this may be the most powerful benz ever created.

Wouldn't it be ironic if a "crappy" 63 were to be on the top of that list, to be the first 10.3 or better AMG? We are getting closer
