Anyone planing a meet in chicago sometime soon

...Just wondering??

J 2OOI 01-21-2008 11:38 AM

BUMP!

ENDSMTG, Marcus, ChicagoX, SaMaS, Antero, jtc55, Dsmed, hydeaway, illiniE55, C32 used, etc....

Lets get a Midwest meet set up SOON! I am thinking a "meet & cruise to lunch" on a Saturday or Sunday :nix:

I don't feel like waiting until spring...

Thoughts??

ENDSMTG 01-21-2008 02:00 PM

I'm in!

sales@eurocharged.com 01-21-2008 04:14 PM

me too

jtc55 01-21-2008 09:23 PM

when and where?

cgutowsky 01-22-2008 12:06 AM

Would like to meet you guy's, but it's got to be dry out or will not be attending. Clean freak sorry. C.

aleksandar1099 01-22-2008 12:12 AM

I agree...i think we should wait till it gets a little bit cleaner outside....today's snow was TERRIBLE...i got stuck and couldnt make more than 10 mph down side streets!!....but a meet would be real cool

YSP KING 01-22-2008 01:20 AM

I'm down.

Mr. AMG 20 01-22-2008 01:23 AM

im down as well. let me know when and where.

J 2OOI 01-22-2008 09:40 AM

I agree that with snow, it’s a bad idea. However, if the roads are clear of snow, I think a meet is in order. The cold itself shouldn't hold us back, that’s all I'm sayin....

We can set up something on a weekend, if it snows, we postpone it. I am not too familiar with chi-town.

Throw out ideas for a meeting spot and a 1hr +/- cruise to a good lunch spot that has variety enough to suit most people... I am coming from Indy so just keep that in mind….

Antero 01-22-2008 09:54 AM

You guys know im in. :y

c32used 01-22-2008 09:56 AM

I am in when my car is back from Stealership and its in good weather(no snow I mean):y

Mr. AMG 20 01-22-2008 11:46 AM

AMG Rider 01-22-2008 12:02 PM

I'm in sun or snow. E55 doesn't see much driving in the winter, but if it's nice, I have no problems taking her out. If not, that's what the S4 is for.

-m

SaMaS 01-22-2008 01:04 PM

would be good to see you all again and meet new people... I guess we have enough intrested so we should start thinking of dates and palces we can go I agree we should take 30-40min drive and have dinner maybe have a little photoshoot too... come on guys chime in with your ideas...

ENDSMTG 01-22-2008 02:44 PM

Are there any indoor activities that we might partake in? Getting a track right now would not be easy.

J 2OOI 01-22-2008 03:12 PM

How about just a meet up, cruise to lunch (1+/-hr), eat and tell kill stories :v: etc and cruise back. I agree, a track rental is more suited for spring!

edit: what do you have in mind ENDSMTG??

rsr911 01-22-2008 03:32 PM

We should definately look into a track event at Gingerman in South Haven Michigan. They offer open track nights for around $60.00 per car all the track time you can handle from 5:30 till dark.
I have run there many times. Technical fast and safe.:zoom:

nick 55 01-22-2008 07:46 PM

How about Chicago Indoor Racing up by Wheeling? It's indoors, and we can see who can really run. :zoom::zoom: I guarantee that a couple hours there and you will be shot.

By the way, I drive mine in the snow. I'm a trooper!!!

c32used 01-22-2008 08:10 PM

I aggree I prefer a cruise and lunch maybe meet in the burbs of Chicago and cruise for a photo shoot at the Chicago Skyline by Shedd aquarium, Field museum, Adler planetarium, Soldiers Field:y

Mr. AMG 20 01-22-2008 08:42 PM

sounds good to me. lunch and a cruise it is.

Sounds goo to me!!

jtc55 01-23-2008 11:18 AM

how about this:

we all meet at: Hooters of Chicago 660 N. Wells Street Chicago, IL 60610 312-944-8800

eat, drink, shot the breeze, and than cruise to Chicago Skyline by Shedd aquarium, Field museum, Adler planetarium, Soldiers Field for some pics and more chit-chat.

i recommend meeting in downtown Chicago b/c people will be coming from many different suburbs, for example, northwest, west, southwest, etc., and this way it is somewhat in the middle for everyone.

also, i recommend everyone meet up w/ other MBworld members in their respected vicinity and take a cruise together to Hooters in downtown Chicago.

i live in northwest suburbs and will meet w/ other members in my area for the cruise :y

what do u guys think?

rsr911 01-23-2008 02:59 PM

Pick a date and I will see if I am free!!

I like the progress we are making here...

jtc-- I would prefer a meet and then cruise for a decent distance (1+/- hour). I say this because I will be coming from Indy (3hr drive) and I would like some good road time with all of you... The cruise could be a combo of highways and other scenic roads out in the suburbs (something similar to Marcus' Meet last summer when we went to Lake Geneva). How about we meet at sheds or vicinity, then cruise out to a suburb for lunch, then go from there-- ineveitably groups will be going home in the same direction. I would propose a route and lunch place, but I wouldn't know where to begin...

Or, if you all want to make the trip to Indy I have great driving routes and food :D

Lets get some more ideas!

c32used 01-23-2008 03:58 PM

I think they are both great ideas! I go with majority...

nick 55 01-23-2008 09:48 PM

I'm for meeting downtown then cruising to the suburbs somewhere for lunch. Just everytime I'm parked downtown, I get a ticket for no front plate or something stupid. :smash:

How about heading out west to (I think) Glendale Heights (maybe Glen Ellyn) to a German restaurant called Schnitzelplatz. Good cars, good food, good times.

OK, FOR SURE!! When are you getting a car???

Marcus Frost 01-24-2008 02:36 PM

Guys,

There are a few options - so we have to narrow down by popular demand what everyone wants to do.

Do we want to meet/eat first and then cruise? Or cruise first then meet/eat?

Do we want to start in the city and wind up in the burbs, or start in the burbs and wind up in the city?

I have good suggestions for any scenario.

-m

ENDSMTG 01-24-2008 07:53 PM

Pick a day....Pick a day....Pick a day!:X Don't care either way, as long as weather is decent!

Dsmed 01-24-2008 09:03 PM

Its about time for a meet/cruise. I would suggest staying out of the city.
The traffic downtown will cause the group to be separated. Anyone have a date in mind?

sales@eurocharged.com 01-24-2008 09:19 PM

sales@eurocharged.com 01-24-2008 09:20 PM

We should all cruise to the auto show!

nick 55 01-24-2008 11:10 PM

Don't really want to park my ride down there during the show. I might be riding in my friends clapped out 99 Civic SI then. :puke: Sorry, just got sick a little thinking about that.

aleksandar1099 01-25-2008 01:08 AM

You know what....i know a perfect place......Oak Brook Shopping mall allways has empty parking lots for lots of cars and a good place to take pictures...and REALLY good food....and maybe then we should take an hr drive from there????? What do u think....maybe mid feb when there is not so much snow on the roads...

Either way works for me so long as the parking situation is good. I liked our meet and cruise to lunch. It allowed some to leave lunch early and others to stay and chat. Start in city, cruise to lunch in the burbs, take pictures, etc., then cruise back actually sounds best. But I am flexible...

I'd be interested if it was the 23rd - but the way it's been snowing this winter there's no telling what the weather will be like....

May I suggest J. Alexander's at Oak Brook as a possible food venue for lunch? Excellent food and a generous parking area, especially around back.

You guys cool with the 23rd? Anybody else have conflicts that day?

Marcus Frost 01-27-2008 08:26 PM

I'm in for the 23rd. The only J. Alexander's I know about is in Northbrook, which one are you referring to?

I say we meet somewhere first for coffee (Streets of Woodfield?) then make it a 45 minute drive to wherever we want to go, and then we can either call it a day then or hit one more spot. The only reason I suggest this is to give us some time to cruise together and not just meet to fill our stomachs!

-m

jtc55 01-27-2008 08:39 PM

seems like i'm the odd man out for the 23rd :(

if this is the meet date than u guys have fun :zoom::cheers:

i'll catch u guys on the next meet.

nick 55 01-27-2008 09:43 PM

Sorry JTC, hopefully you can make the next one. There is a J. Alexanders at 1410 16th. St in Oakbrook. It is on the north side of Oakbrook mall. We can meet for coffee at Streets of Woodfield, say 10, and leave for Oakbrook at 11. Like it was said earlier, there is plenty of parking there. After that, maybe a cruise someplace else if people are up to that. :y

c32used 01-27-2008 11:26 PM

Slightly fast car is an understatement........did you see the youtube post by ChicagoX with Endsmtg's car with DRs going up against a C6 ZO6:eek: I think even the new 911 Turbo would have an issue with Endsmtg's car:bow::naughty::zoom:

Sorry to talk smack, but I built the 911, and it runs in the 10's. Endsmtg and I will run them together sometime. I can attest to how fast Dave's car is though.

Oh, and it's an old 996 also, not a new one.

Well it was meant against a non-modded 911 but for sure with you running in the 10s it will be very hard for Endmtg's car especially if you have all wheel drive....can't wait to see it.

The 23rd should be good for me too. Let me know when and where exactly need to program the GPS. May have to bring the S 320 if there is bad weather.

Do we want to meet someplace downtown or at Streets of Woodfield? Doesn't matter to me.

Nice... you should be around 620 / 650 hp with 600lb TQ (at all 4 wheels). A friend of mine has a Ruf 550 and that car can move, I could only imagine a GT740.

nick 55 01-29-2008 08:19 PM

:topic: But let's just say that I outran a Yamaha R1 in the lane next to me at a stoplight, headed back to the house one night after work. I slowed down after I hit 140(very quickly), and when he caught up a second later, he flipped his visor up and gave me a :y. I wouldn't have done that, but we were on a divided highway with no intersections for a mile, and we each had an open lane as far as we could see.

This car is unbelievable!!!
If anybody has a P-car that needs tuned, Evolution motorsport in Arizona is fantastic. Ask for Nate, tell him Nick in Chicago sent ya.

I was huge into the bike scene and usually I argue against anyone who claims to take out a liter bike....but in your case it wasn't from a dig and at highway speeds the motorcycles although still potent the wind does hold them back especially a riders fear...but congrats if your car can do that I have nothing but respect for you...:y

Woodfield Starbucks at 10 then driving to J.Alexander's in Oakbrook and after that heading to Millenium Park or Shedd Aquarium for photo shoot sounds good to me, now who do I call if I'm runing a little late since I'm comming from south side...

Any possibilites for a longer drive?? :nix: Google maps shows only 16 miles between Woodfield and Oak Brook! I was hoping for a little more road time with everyone.

PM me if anybody needs addresses or info. If you are running late(pulled over, traffic, or flat tire), you can call me. If you run out of gas, you are on your own though. I know the first leg is kind of short distance wise, but the trip into the city will help make up for it.

So far no plans for Feb 23 so sign me up.

355 from Woodfield Mall till Army Trail Tall will be flooded with cops. I see at least 2-3 cars every time I drive there.

So is this the final plan and location where to meet?

nick 55 01-30-2008 03:31 PM

As of right now, we will meet at Starbucks in Streets of Woodfield at 10. We will leave for J. Alexander's at Oakbrook mall at 11. We eat there, I will call ahead and give them an approximate head count closer to the 23rd. After that we cruise downtown to Millenium Park, take some pictures, and then head to either Soldier Field or Shedd Aquarium for more, and we can call it a day after that if need be. If it is nasty out, we can postpone, but I will be going even if it isn't the greatest, since I will be in a daily driver.

We can take 290 to Rt. 83 to avoid some of the cops if need be.

Marcus Frost 01-31-2008 09:08 PM

Guys,

I suggest we add in a bit more travel time on roads less prone to police oversight. I'm thinking maybe we should start at Streets, and then do either the J. Alexander's in Northbrook or maybe Claim Jumper in Wheeling, IL. Both of those are right up 294 which I can tell you having done some good ticks on it is very mellow when it comes to cops. From either of those two places we can hit the Edens and shoot downtown which has no U-turns and is just barren of cops. The Shedd is good but can be crowded and hard to find parking, I have a few other suggestions that aren't as picturesque but will be able to accomodate a dozen cars for free or a couple of bucks each that are right downtown.

That's about 45 miles of nice cruising driving on roads with little to no police presence - I'm not suggesting we do 110mph up and down these highways but some antics are always in order.

If weather winds up sucking, we can resort to the original Woodfield - Oak Brook - Downtown plan.

Just my $.02

Im with you on JAlex in northbrook would be better, being 294 is right next to it. Easy access, and little to no cops.....

c32used 02-01-2008 12:58 AM

We need to start deciding:nix:

statwagon 02-01-2008 04:31 AM

Hey, I'm all for J Alex in Northbrook - closer for me. Only reason I suggested the other location was because of an earlier idea to cruise to Oak Brook.

(Plus, as a bonus you can opt to cruise the 5-lane speedway 'run' on 294 between the Lake-Cook interchange and Half Day road):naughty:

Tom

nick 55 02-02-2008 05:31 PM

I'm cool with cruising to Northbrook. I am also bringing a video camera, maybe I'll get a head start on the expressway and get good drive-by footage.

So far a great turn out, let's keep it going!

As for route planning, I was thinking today about a few possibilties....Let me know what you think. I was thinking that we leave from Starbucks, take 90 to 294, head north, past Lake-Cook to Half Day Rd. From there, we switch back on 294 south to J.Alexanders. We enjoy a great meal, and get back on 294. Head north to Half Day Rd. go east, and turn south on Sheridan Rd. Take a nice twisty drive down to Lake Shore, turning on Irving Park, and heading to Sheffield. Turn on Addison to the McDonalds by Wrigley Field. I figured Wrigley would be a cool spot to take some pictures by. What do you think? I also thought about stopping in Glenview at The Glen, as there are some cool spots there for pictures. Up for any comments.

Weather looks good for 23rd. Hopefully, it will stay that way..... Took the car out today (warm weather) for the first time in awhile, and manage to scratch my passenger rear lip on my iforged. I need to get it refinished. Anyone know of a good place to get them powercoated?!

nick 55 02-18-2008 10:28 PM

Ok guys, I called J.Alexanders in Northbrook, and have planned to cruise to the restaurant, then cruising to Sheridan Rd. We will ride to Wrigley Field to the McDonalds, and then we can head out from there. I will have route maps to hand out at Starbucks in Streets of Woodfield. Any questions or comments, let me know. Can't wait to meet up with everyone!

Nick - Sheridan Rd. might have some large potholes????

c32used 02-19-2008 12:01 AM

See you there...:y:y:y

nick 55 02-19-2008 09:17 AM

Well, I'm open to ideas on places or routes to take. I agree about potholes, but I think they will be nearly everywhere. Do you guys want to stay on expressways? Doesn't matter to me, anybody else?

J 2OOI 02-19-2008 09:48 AM

Hopefully Marcus will chime in... his route at the meet last summer was perfect....

Whatever you guys decide I am in lets just plan it ahead of time so we all have it set...

jrcart 02-19-2008 10:28 AM

Why don't you guys plan a route with some different types of roads? If you guys want to start out of the Woodfield area a better (my opinion) route is to take 90 west to Route 47 (Huntley), exit at rt.47 and take 47 south, there are lots of fun, off the beaten path, twisty, smooth 2 lane roads between there and Sugar Grove. Once in Sugar grove you can get back on 88 east and head to Downtown Naperville or Oak Brook, both are very upscale destinations with lots of dining, and bars. Downtown Naperville on a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon is like a car show anyhow, you will see lots of nice exotics and classics. It is about a 70 mile trip from Woodfield to Downtown Naperville via this route with almost zero traffic congestion. I run this route with buddies on Sunday morning motorcycle rides.

Just a thought......Let me know what you guys figure out, I'm in for any type of ride/drive.

nick 55 02-19-2008 11:35 AM

That sounds cool to me too, would you guys like to do that? I do have commitments at 6 that evening, so I might have to cut out a little early if it goes past 4:30 or so.

Marcus Frost 02-19-2008 11:50 AM

Guys,

I think we should be wary about potholes because all it takes is one of us to hit one and pop a tire to ruin a trip out there. Also remember traveling with large #s of cars and lots of stop lights = splitting up group = people getting lost = pain in the ass. So we should keep that in mind. I like the idea of wrigley field because that McDonald's there has a nice big parking lot. If we don't want to do that one, there's always the one downtown.

jrcart: I like your idea but I think we should keep that kind of driving to the summer time, curvy slippery salty roads that may have lots of potholes will probably not be a good idea for the meet this time around. Just my $.02

I think we have a solid gameplan... unfortunately I think it's still going to be pretty cold and well under average. This winter has been pretty brutal.

 I must admit, this sounds awesome, PLEASE tell me you are bringing the CLK 63 BS!! :X

I seriously can't wait...

edit: Marcus, good point on the slippery roads, I'm in either way so just let me know...

nick 55 02-19-2008 12:31 PM

I love the idea of heading west, especially for summer. I do agree with the pothole concerns too. If you want, we can reroute to mostly expressways. And I can help change a tire pretty quick if we do have issues. I don't know, this decision making stuff is making my brain hurt. I'll be back....

What dates are you guys talking about? I am picking the 63 Black Series up from Evosport in California next Wednesday the 27th, I am then driving the car to Vegas to see the Nascar race that weekend and then I have a track day on the road course at LVMS late that week. The car is then being shipped back to me in Naperville. I should have the car back home by March 8. I would love to join you guys on a few drives. I have a handful of fun routes that me and friends do on our bikes and in our cars.

Another nice ride is Rt 34 west to Rt 71 south to Norway, IL. We can rent out the kart track in Norway for a few hundred bucks for a few hours. It is great for autocrossing, very wide and long for a kart track, it makes for a fun change of pace, and a safe environment to let loose. Once you get west of Naperville and Aurora, there is no traffic and no cops.

Another good ride is Interstate 55 south to Interstate 80 west to Starved Rock State Park, this is a longer drive, but probably some of the best roads and most scenic roads you will find in Illinois. The roads are wide, clean and curves everywhere. It is in the middle of nowhere, so fine dining will not be an option. Lots of good "hole in the wall" diners along the way though.

Last but not least, is another long, but awesome drive...Galena, IL Depending on the start point there are various, great routes to get there, the best is probably Interstate 90 west to Rt 20 through Rockford and Freeport. An alternate is Interstate 88 west to Dixon, IL and then take some nice backroads north into Galena. Galena is on the border of IL and IA on the Mississippi River. Believe it or not there are actually lots of small mountains and foot hills in this area. The roads are pristine, smooth, hilly and twisty with minimal traffic. Once you get there there is great dining and a scenic historic downtown area. From Woodfield it is about a 2.5 hour drive.

J 2OOI 02-19-2008 12:51 PM

Jrcart: Excellent suggestions for a spring run IMO. This particular meet is on Feb. 23rd (this Saturday). Check earlier parts of the thread for info.... You should make it out though in one of your other rides!!

I would love to come up and do one of the longer runs with your group once spring rolls around!

edit: I'm sure others would join in on the longer runs this spring/summer as well...

jrcart 02-19-2008 12:56 PM

As for the pothole concerns...they are everywhere right now. You can't avoid them especially with this damn winter we are having...so much for global warming. There are even major potholes on the interstates and tollroads. The less traveled country roads will have less potholes than the busier interstates and state roads due to the fact that they are not getting beat up by semi's and thousands of cars everyday. I'm in either way, it is a bit cold out right now, but you all know we get about 2 weeks of "good roads" here in Chicago before they start putting up the orange construction signs.

Oh, my mistake, I did not realize it was going to be so soon. I may be flying out to Cali early (Saturday) and going to the Nascar race at California Speedway. It's still up in the air, but if I don't go I may join you guys in one of my other cars, if the invite is open to non-MB's, maybe the CTS-V. Let me know, thanks.

nick 55 02-19-2008 01:01 PM

I am already working on something for the end of May......Stay tuned, it will be a day trip, but well worth it!

Is everybody still cool with the original plan then, or should I reroute us to expressways? I thought we could take a modest pace down sheridan to Lake shore for a little while. :nix:

Yes, ofcourse you are welcome to bring a different car :y. Also, sounds like Nick has an idea for the end of May... so you can set one of your runs up for in between now and then :D

LOL! LOL! LOL! If anyone from a warm weather state clicks on this thread they are going to laugh their a$$ off. The high temp for Chicagoland this Saturday is supposed to be 22...and that's heat wave! When the temp hit 50 it's off with the convertible tops and down with the windows. You've gotta love Chicago winters. I have a freind that lives near Miami and he was complaing a few weeks ago that the daily high temps where in the mid 50's and he was freezing his a$$ off, he actually had to turn on his furnace. If it ever got this cold in L.A. Govornor Arnold would have to delare it a disaster, the last thing they would be doing is planning a group drive. I guess we know who the die-hards are.

Route maps available.

Ok everyone, I have a route map and directions available that I can Email to anyone and everyone that asks. I am calling the restaurant Friday afternoon to give them a head count. If I am off by a few it won't be a problem, but if I am within 1 or 2 it should mean no waiting for the room to be ready. One thing I was thinking about after the map was finished was when we leave Wrigley, we could take Lake Shore down into the city, and finish off by leaving the city on Lower Wacker, and after we get to the post office, the north siders and south siders(and Hoosiers!) could split off on 94 or follow us west siders out to 290. I'll be doing that if you are interested. The rumble of 15 AMGs(and one 911) on Lower Wacker will be awesome! PM me your email address if you want the map and directions sent to you.

I did not realize there were so many Chi-Townies on this forum. Every time I read a post or thread it seems like they are all from California or Arizona. Now that I know this, we need to definetly try to organize a track day. Autobahn, Gingerman or even Bumpy Blackhawk Farms, Grattan is nice, but a little further. We should also think about renting the drag strip at Route 66 one evening.

I'm not a member, but have several freinds that are, I am waiting for a "Team Space" garage membership. I am a business owner and belong to the Will County Center for Economic Development, as do the owners of the Autobahn, Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway. They lookout for other people and companies that belong, so I can get on whenever I want. Think of it as legal bribes. I should be able to get a handfull of people on without a problem.

Ok here's the scoop. We had a ///AMG meet there last year, and had called ahead to make sure there would be no problem. I get there, go through the inspections, pay my fees, get in staging, and then were told "you guys in the Benz's are gonna havtu wait!" "We got sum top fuel qualifiers that need to get sum runs, so we gonna let them goheada ya!" We had been in staging for over an hour, then they come back and say "U fellas gonna have to move outta stagin and back to da pits....we'll call ya when we ready forya!" So of course now I'm pissed, we go to get our money back and they give us the run around. Finally they give us some BS vouchers to come back later that year. However, it started snowing like 2 weeks later and the vouchers expired! So F*ck Route 66, they are lucky we didn't pour oil on the track before we left!

That is pretty crappy of them, I know the president and GM of the track, We are not real tight, but that whole Will County Economic thing goes a long way, listen to this story. Last summer I decided I wanted to take try to get an infield spot at the NASCAR race in Joliet a few weeks before the race only to find out there is a like a 3 year wait for infield spots. I make a few phone calls and bingo, not only did I get a spot, I got a spot big enough for 2 RV's and it was the best spot in the infield and on top of that paid next to nothing for it. Just let me see if I can talk to them to see what they are going to do for you. They are stand up guys, and car guys, it was probably just the redneck hicks they had working at the track that day holding a grudge because you guys drive MB's. Unless you are totally against it at least let me try. Does anyone remember what the date was?

c32used 02-21-2008 10:46 PM

If you can come out with positive news from Rt.66 I am sure would be willing to listen...I will give them another try if thet can treat us well...as for the date do a search we posted it last year for drag sday at route 66 I believe AMG-Jerry posted it.

Whats funny is both the newer and older M5 only came to hang with us for lunch only...it really would have been a much nicer photo shoot if all were available...as for the next meet we talked about the Spring like in April doing some go-carting!

t-bone 02-25-2008 02:11 PM

I had a good time driving my smart with you guys. Of course, I couldn't keep up when you guys floored it, but there was enough traffic to allow me to keep the cars in view.

I had errands to run so I couldn't go to downtown with you guys, but I saw Jason on my way back down to Indy on I-65. That M6 sounded sweet when he pulled away making me look like I was standing still. :)

Great to see everyone again and meet some new people. I was able to capture some video, but nothing too great. Everywhere we went was basically full of traffic :nix:

I will probably post more but here are two for now:

Short clip of M6 with ENDSMTG, SAMAS and my old car.

Another short clip of M6 cruising with Smart! T-bone's Smart was one of my favorites...

Hey everybody! I hope everyone had fun Saturday. Thank you to all who came out, and I hope everyone comes to the next one. I do have a few short videos, I will work on posting them. Unfortunately there was traffic everywhere, so I will try to put something together for a next time on a Sunday early morning to give people a chance to stretch their legs once it gets warmer. I called over to Chicago Indoor Racing and got some info, and it sounds real cool, but to reserve the tracks as a group, I need 25 confirmed, and would need the $40 per person up front. As you see, it would be a rather expensive thing for me to front the money for, especially if people ended up not showing, since it would still cost that much total if 15 people ended up going. I am still working on it, and it is not scrapped, but as of right now, I am looking at the first part of April to meet somewhere around Oakbrook, and head north to 90, out west to 47 and south to Sugar Grove, and finishing up in Naperville for lunch. I thought about Jrcart's routes and really like that drive.
Any drivers? :zoom:
