Updated CLS 63 Interior...How does it compare to the E's?
 

interesting! new command!! and wheel and from the looks of it upgraded audio!!! bah command alone costs an arm and a leg!!

Now the 7 speeds blips on downshifts...and the exhaust sounds better too

The flagship model in the CLS range, the CLS 63 AMG, is powered by the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine with 378 kW/514 hp and 630 Newton metres of torque. The high-revving, naturally aspirated engine now makes its presence known in an even more distinctive fashion: the AMG sports exhaust system's redesigned rear silencers deliver an even more captivating soundtrack through the two sets of oval-shaped, chromed twin tailpipes. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission now incorporates a function which blips the throttle automatically during downshifts. I'm loving the SD card and the new command, but HATING the wheel. If I wanted a BMW wheel, I'da got one!!

I thought the CLS (amg) was always a little lusher than the E, NO? At least the stitched dash is better.

And just happens to take load off the tranny. Cool feature and all, but i really want to see a more rugged AMG.

The stitched leather dash is awesome as is the CF.

i remebr asking for the CLK ash tray wood cover (as it came with AMG on it)
got qouted for 160 british pounds!! for an ash try cover!!!!

Has this car been released in the states yet ??? If so, I need to get my hands on that 7 Gtronic Plus software for my Black series...that would make a huge difference. I have a feeling though, that its VIN specific...

looks like a SD or CF smart card slot in the COMAND? Cool.

So Can we get 7 Gtronic Plus software later on E63 transmission?
I really want rev matching downshifts feature on my E63.:)

I don't see why not - same motor/tranny...however, if the software is VIN specific, the dealer won't be able to do it. I'll be talking to the shop foreman who is my buddy Mon am, you can bet on it :)

I asked my SA about it because I heard about C63 with rev matching downshifts. He was not sure about it yet. Please update us on the software after you talk to the shop. Thanks in advance:)

Wow, that interior looks great with the Carbon Fiber option :y

Gorgeous leather dash (I hate vinyl) but I really don't care for the steering wheel. It is a more homely version of a BMW wheel.

The CF will be a nice option too but I have always really liked the anthracite burled maple that AMG uses. In Europe, you can order it in something like 7 different colors including blue and green! :y

Not liking the steering wheel at all! It just doesn't fit. All the rest looks good though.

You sure the Black doesn't have this feature? Because the C63 will and I thought they introduced that first on the Black. But I am not too sure!

I was thinking more like charcoal leather with the blue or green burled trim and matching stitching. Something outrageous but not too outrageous! :rolleyes:
