Found answer to MP3's
 

I just recently purchased an 04 E55 and I could not get the car to play MP3's as well as not having a nav dvd. I tried to use the unlock codes found from various posts and I could not get them to work at all. My first step was finding a nav disk. i found a 2006.1 torrent which works great. Last night I was looking online and found a command update torrent that supposedly adds mp3 functionality and destination time to the nav. I downloaded, unzipped it, and burned it to a cd. I turned on the car pressed 1,3,8 on the command and it told me to enter the disk. It took about 5 minutes and the command rebooted. I then put in a burned mp3 cd and it works great. I then took a drive and routed a destination. The time to arrival works as well. I hope this helps others. Here is the link:

Wow, I have an 04 as well... and will try this soon. Is this the newest version for the command? Has this worked for anyone else?

TTG & ETA can be displayed any way without the update.
push upper left screen button two times.
I have forgotten the down side to the update. I think it locks some of the engineering menus.

1. Does it play mp3's on DVD too or just CD's?

2. How about a link to the nav torrent?
