MP Designs wheel buttons

What up all. Dunno if you all remember, but I was in on the initial group buy from Neal about a year or more ago. When I got my wheel, I noticed that one of the buttons (on the front) was set too deep. I sent pics and word came back from MP to just pull it out and re-set it. Obviously, I had the opyion to send it back for repairs, but wanted to keep it.
Anyhow, now that all the power mods are adding up, I put it up on blocks and am stripping some cosmetic things. While I was at it, I finallt took a sharp set of tweezers and pulled both buttons out (just as MP said).
Before I glue them back in, should I paint them? I was thinking charcoal to match the leather?

You mean the "+" & "-" button, right? I'd suggest you leave them off... they'd save some weight.

Seriously, why do you even bother painting those small buttons? Wouldn't look that much difference, IMO.

Yup, those are the ones. be honest, I wouldn't mind leaving them off except for the gaping holes. I am also thinking that painting them will just be a mess. Looks like I'll glue gun them back in as is.

Maybe just get some paint, and a small detail brush. Paint them black, leaving just the "+" "-" silver

Ooooh, actually that would look cool. May be too much work for me, but we'll see how the night goes.

Nah,have a few beers, or whatever you fancy, get a small piece of cardboard, couple pieces of scotch tape, roll scoth tape, stick to backs of buttons, tape to cardboard, paint, let dry, glue back in tommrow... Think i may even try this as my car is sitting on a lift while the calipers are being painted... Go for it and post up some pix...

BTW Jangy, i started the Brabus style 4 bar grille project, finished up the fiberglass work yesterday, should have it finished by the end of next week.. so far it looks just like the Brabus Rocket grille....
