Turn ignition key to position 1 or 2.
2. Turn on Command.
3. Turn to Radio.
4. Press 5 (continue holding and wait 1 second).
5. Press 3 (continue to hold along with 5 key and wait 1 second).
6. Press 7 (continue to hold along with 5 and 3 keys and wait about 3 seconds).
7. A menu should appear. Scroll down and select "AMG211_ECE" option.
8. Switch off ignition, remove key and leave about 5 minutes before turning on again

But if you have updated your COMAND 2.0 with 04/06 update this backdoor menu is gone and is only available through using SDS to access these features. Am I wrong in stating that?

but both CDCs had different part #s/labels...
my in-dash didn't play MP3s until i updated software...
not sure if ENG menu would've enabled MP3 playback both in-dash and CDC on mine...

Ok, I just went down and tried it and I can still get into the ENG menu. Along with the 3 hidden softkeys. Phew.

What Menu were you in?
Did this bring up the engineering menu where you can change MP3 settings or just the graphic display?
I'm curious.....

Euro COMAND installed
just got Euro COMAND installed on friday nite...
simple DIY... VIM already enabled...
now works with OEM remote which i bought months ago... lol
this is 7039 model which doesn't have option to add TV tuner and RES...
bought it used and couldn't refuse the price...

got KMA-367 license plate frame put on earlier this week also...
thought about 11-99 frame but i needed 4 holes... support LAPD!
