It was nice to meet Simon after all these years. The SL was fast for sure. Wish they would have hung out until the real fun began. Maybe next time we can have the MBs dominate it all.

What a day. What a day. Great times as always and Team HMS represented for sure. Just a few teasers...

EVO SL best (I saw): 11.62
hveyon SL: 12.1
Jangy's E55: 12.31
Ed's E55: 11.9 (twice)
Juice'd CLS63 (no mods, lol): 12.6

Now for the fun stuff. There were a number of Corvettes (I think). Luckily, there were even a few from the forum that one of our members disrespected with his posts. HAHAH!! To see their faces. First was a stock one with just DRs. BRIGHT YELLOW (UUUUUGH). I followed him around, lined up next to him and asked if it was stock. He said "pretty much" and smiled. He got spanked!! I didn't speak to the one in the black on black modded one, but Juicee can comment on what mods the old goat claimed. From what I hear, he beat the EVO SL. Then, he came up against the hveyon SL55 and barely beat it (a length) so i'm not sure if it could take the 11.5s that the EVO car can put down. At any rate, the kid missed third on the next run and his dad got all pissed and they left!! LOL!!!!

Again, all the talk aside...it was a blast!! I love working together to get the cars competitive.

Best driver of the day: serge. I thought he really had the technique down and made the most of each run.

Best 60': Any 55K with DRs, LOL!! The vettes had drags and I did not see a single sub 2 second 60'. The 55ks on DRs were hitting 1.8 consistently. That was all the difference.

Jangy 12.31... What was your 60' and trap. What you have for mods with VRP? How was the track prep. It must have been a crappy DA, EH.......

Yeah 1/8 mile trap speed to 1/4 mile trap speed please. So we can see the difference in the tunes.

Traps:

I want to say that the EVO SL hit 125ish on the trap? I dunno for sure.
I know the CLS63s (modded and not) were trapping 114ish all day, which was down from last time.
Mine was trapping right at 112 all day (need headers and box!!)
Ed's trapped 118 (I think) when it had my DRs on it. I think serge's SL55 was similar to Ed's.
The Zo6 I beat trapped exactly 10mph faster than me at 122
The Z06 that was tricked trapped 125
Greg's (gE63) mustang pulled a sub 10 @140mph, is that better?

Hi Jay,

The Evosport SL 55 was spraying but it was his first time on the drag strip in this car. I believe 11.4x was his best ET and the highest trap I saw was in the 127 range which was the fastest I had seen a Benz go @ Fontana.

Rick BTW Jangy has a CLS 63 and he did run a bit quicker and a bit faster than me.

CLS 63 (RennTech) 12.59@113.50, which was one of the best trap speeds I have seen from a 63 anywhere in 95 degrees. My best was a 12.64@112.54. I raced Rick 10x and door to door for the most part.

The Other SL 55 stage 5 ran 12.1 all day long @115-116 and Vic 55's old E55 piloted by Ed ran 118.7X and hit 11.98@117.x but was mostly running 12's.

The highest non nos trap belonged to the stage 5 E55 118.7
The best 60 ft I saw was 1.81. This was from a guy who would not stop running till he hit 11's, unfortunately the Heat prevented this more than his driving. (Great driving Serge)

The 63's two CLS 63's were very very consistant. This allowed several heads up victories against much faster Stage 5 cars. The 63's best 60 ft was 1.93, which had the car doing 12.60's. 112.xx all day with one 113.5 pulled off by RARFINANCIAL!!!

Thank goodness for CLS55 owner AUKTANE(screen nic) , car was s i k. All the drinks and the tent definately SAVED team AMG. I was very happy to see some new faces on the track and overall aside from that first pass there were many quality passes.

DA=3100-3900 ft all day.

Jangy won the ET war vs. the 63's but he was out trapped most of the day by the two 63's. Jangy what was your best trap?

The heat was SICK!! But everyone had to deal with it, so i didn't care. 60 foots were 1.8 all day long on DRs. On the 19" PS2s, I couldn't break 2.1.


Mods: Pulley, ECU, 80mm TB (I think), DRs, 91 octane gas.

Track prep was good IMO. I was in dyno mode and the car was hooking up well.

Brad congrats nice runs....I dont think anyone would doubt a 55K on spray would beat a Z06, without the NOS is a different story.

Time slip posted. He beat Gary off the line, but Gary tracked him down and beat him (11.496 @ 126.35 v 11.833 @125.18)

Of course the vette guys will say the vette won, but the time slips don't lie.

If gary would have gotten a good launch, it would have been murder. Gary has a 8 second Honda drag car, but he has not been at the strip for 7+ years so to say he was rusty is an understatement!

Glad we could represent for MBZ and show the Z06 guys that although it is a great car, any car can beat any other car on any given drag day!

The funny thing is all that crap about the z06 betting JRcart in the CLK63 BS, well that BS we built will smoke this SL55 we brought - so you do the math! lol I cannot wait for JRCart to hear and take it back to the vette guys! They are just so annoying thinking that nothing will ever beat them!

Not out of the hole. It is a computer programmed system that only sprays when all factors align.

The Z06 was not stock. According to what they told Simon and Gary it had mods. Maybe even header, but definitely software and exhaust. Who knows what else.
