I am sure that Steve@MBenznl has. I also bet it ain't cheap. Lastly, I bet Mark Cummings has added it to his wife's ride. that W211 has EVERYTHING.

Agreed on all accounts. Also, MJ50 (I think thats his member ID) recently did it (i.e. Steve did it with/for him).

Lookup the thread "MJ50's mod fever" or something similar (over 5 pages long). He's done just about everything and included great pics and writeups.

I really wanted to do the same but way too involved and a bit pricey for me.

Steve at MBenzNL can definitely do it, and will do it right. He added some mods to two cars for me this trip and did a stellar job. And yes, Mark's wife's 211 has the closer added (plus damn near anything else that you can think of).

dealer will say "it can't be done" as usual...
steve did it on mine during his july trip... or was it june...
not a cheap mod but i luv it everything i open the trunk...

I don't know about the dealer but I have done at least 20 trunkclosers on 211s (and 2 on 219s and 1 on a 209)...no problem at all.
