NEW Style L.E.T. Heat Exchanger Installed

I finally got around to installing my new Heat exchanger and for anyone contemplating the mod.... DO IT!!!!

After getting the new HE installed along with the CM30 Pump, I got a new LET tune and all I can say is wow!!!!!

I am confident that with drags I could run a 11.4 like my buddy trachsun...

And above all else, it looks really cool in the grill....

btw.... i already know about the bumper holes and the bumper crack

Great job! I love the look of this heat exchanger on a silver car...flows really well. Almost looks like fangs when it's coming up behind you on the road.

With this HE in conjunction with the IC pump, you will almost definintely run mid 11s. I have run several hot laps at the track with 11.6Xs and 11.7Xs all trapping in the 117 range. On a good day, you will run 11.5Xs at 118s. When I ran the 11.41 @ 119.7X, it was not even ideal conditions (from a weather/DA perspective) although the car was cold. The temps were in the mid to high 60s and the DA was +.

Bottom line, with the right conditions, I have no doubt, you will crack the 11.4Xs with the right launch. Maybe even 11.3Xs with a Stage 1 car!!

Bang-for-the-buck, you CANNOT beat this setup...PERIOD.

Yes, there are faster cars out there, even faster Es. But, with the money invested, it is hard to complain about a Stage 1 running low to mid 11s all day long with consistency (I have never run over an 11.8X in my car in ANY condition, at any track (and I have been to several)). The only exception is when I bogged off the launch last month and decided to still see what the trap was (time was 12.X, but trap was still 117+).

Congrats again and best of luck to you.

I went to the LET website but didn't see a heat exchanger for the E55. Are you talking about the Code 3 HE with the spearco core? Also, I see you have the LET tune but ASP pulley. Has anyone tried the LET pulley. I see they have a 172mm and a 180mm. Getting ready to go with pulley and tune but wonder which to go with, ASP, VRP, or LET. Any opinions?

I ordered the 180mm let Pulley and it should be comming in soon. Let is your best bet for the absolute most powerful car for the least amount of money, and with no sacrifices !! Just look at tracshun's car, he has all let, which is the most affordable company in Mercedes tuning, and is also he fastest stage 1 car ever!!! That should prove that there is no question to which company and why I chose it!

The HE was $500 and you can find it on LET's website. The pump was $175, also on the website.

I just did mine on the C32 and its the same thing, you take off the old HE and replace it with the new ( I used the Code III Spearco Unit). I also replaced with a Johnson C30 at time. I am hoping the IATs go down like crazy!! Its cold here in Chicago, so its hard to tell right now.

How difficult is the install for the new HE and C30 pump? I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I am curious what is all involved...I tried to search, but this forum's search engine is not quite the best imo.
