thanks for your help bro. Yea i know the mileage is crazy but thats the only one that I can find in my state. Its just ridiculous it seems like no one here driving the E55 or something but I do see alot of new C and alot of 3 series BMW . Anyway back to the car so there is no accident to this car before?

 

That I don't know (if it's been in an accident).... Yeah it seems like that is the only one in the whole state of Oklahoma. Next closest is all the way in Dallas. But reports (like carfax) only tell half the story.... they could have been in an accident and not reported (like mine, come to find out). 2 things you NEED to do before you buy: take it to a body shop..... not an independent inspector or dealership, but a BODY SHOP.... preferrably someone whose seen an E55 before. They can tell you if its been in an accident, not carfax or anyone.... also pay the $250 or whatever over there to MB of Oklahoma and get that thing looked at by them using their "pre-certified inspection" That's what they would do if they got the car from auction, trade in or wherever. If those two things check out your good. Does it have a warranty from Mercedes Benz? If not, get one. Another couple grand but may be well worth it. But if I was you I would travel to Dallas and get that certified preowned black one from Mercedes with like 13000 less miles and just drive the 185 miles back (and its for the same price).

 

My bad.... just saw the black one is 400 miles away (Austin), but whatever..... take a little trip back..... there are a few in Dallas (185 mi) tho, but the next closest one looks to be in Tulsa (100 mi away from you). Still that one may be a better deal. Depends on options, but mileage is #1 in my book. Maybe they are jacking the prices up because they know right now they have one of the only E55s in OK.... or they are trying to make a decent profit (who would guess). If I was you I'd offer no more than 32k tippy tippy tops.... and thats if it all checks out and it is immaculate.

 

That would be a great idea . It looks like I need to drive to Dallas or something. The only thing that bother me is I dont know how much they gona pay for my car (CLK 320-04) for trade in and do i need to change the wheels back to stock b4 I go ? cause I heard that they need the car back to stock if you wana trade in and yea I saw one from Tulsa too. There is another one from Houston that I also think its a good deal they're around $30K with 34,000 mileage and its a 05 too. By the way, u said the amount of $250 is that something I have to pay or the dealer that I buy the car from going to pay??? But anyway, Im going to see the car right after I finish this lol. I'lll let u know what is going to be?

Most Mercedes dealers want a used car to be absolutely stock or they won't mess with it. Now if its another non-Mercedes dealer, they'll take the car back with the non-stock tires and rims, but usually (especially the Mercedes dealer) pay highest for stock cars.... so my advice is put the stock wheels back on.... They will not pay you more for your different rims/tires and it may actually decrease your trade in. So put stock back on and sell your current or keep them. Only way to know how much they'll pay is take it down there.... can be a pain, I know. As far as the $250, I was referring to if you bought the car from anybody other than a certified Mercedes dealer, (private party, some other independent dealer like Nissan that your going to) take that car to the closest Mercedes dealer and pay them the $250 or whatever to do their "certified pre-owned inspection." (which is their most thorough inspection, there are different inspection levels for different $ amounts, get the best one). Make sure you get the one with the most "points" (250 point or 150 point inspection, I forget and it actually varies from dealer to dealer). Also, if you play your cards right, you might be able to get the service history printout of the car (if there even is one.... there should be, a red flag if not). And definitely take it to a body shop to get looked at.

 

Ok I just give the car a test drive....All I can say is "wow" I mean I never get in E55 before with that kind of hp so anyway, here is the problem that car has been lowered and I DONT know what else the previous owner done to it . I dont know wth they used to lowered the car the steering wheel shaking like crazy eventhough I got it on 60mph plus it pulls to the right . Another problem is I looked at the clock and it says something like "Low battery Conv." I have no idea what is that mean cause I never see that b4 .
Ok, pricing the manager said he's not going to take off any pennies I was like wtf then I showed him a few cars from Dallas that selling around 30K with that kind of mileage and he was like "Okay". I mean is that how they do business and right after that I was just stand up and walk out to my car then drove off. I guess I will go to Dallas next weekend or something cause I couldnt find any E55 around here . Anyway, thanks for your help "jicl55".

No problem.... if there is anything wrong with it already, don't get it.... its worth your time and effort to travel to Dallas and see what they have.... and if he's set on the price tell him to go (you know what). They'll probably call you in a day or two saying they'll "take off ......... (so much)" anyway.... classic used car dealer tactics.... they play (and hope) that you're thinking with emotion and not that other part you're suppose to be thinking with. Keep me updated.

I live in Cols. Ohio, the car is graphite grey with heated/cooled seats, keyless go, navi and has the original window sticker in it for $92800 or right around there. My friend from college works for MB financial and he got it for me before it went to auction as a one owner of lease. He cherry picked it for me and it is awsome. PM me if you want his contact I will give it to you. They are having a tough time selling these now anyway he said. Dealers are buying C classes and M classes only.
