I would tell them that you have a leak, and found that your rear suspension has dropped, in order to get them to inspect, replace and repair the defective parts. You never know, it may truly be defective, and would be covered under warranty.

That is how mine was and I thought it was normal. I had suspected the passenger side front had a leak because it would be a little lower than the drivers side. So I always had doubts for more than a year.
I think the cause is use, and personally I think the bellows/ rubber used in the air chamber is prone to getting pin holes and when a substantial impact is applied the weakest part "pin hole" gets larger.
The aftermarket arnott replacements have what looks like a much better quality rubber component. I don't know first hand, but you can't beat their warranty, Lifetime.
All that said, it would be hard to find a "2 week leak" so just keep your ear to that compressor and how long it runs when you open the door.

Yes, they should replace it under warranty.

about 6 wks ago i got the dreaded visit workshop arrow icon. Took it in to ASC arlington and it was diagnosed as bad air release valve relay/wiring harness. Wire came loose on the ds and ended up getting replaced. They checked PS and then DS per notes on work order. But not sure why they didnt check the rear at all. Good thing i still have warranty thru 2013 and at 39k miles.

What mileage do you have when the airmatics leaked and got replaced?

Novae500,
My left rear air strut was replaced at 16759, and the right was replaced at 22765, and that was on wednesday. If you have any issues, have it checked out. 9 out of 10 times, it's usually the struts.

I just got a noise that sounds like air rushing out of the valve body when the compressor turns on. The front is exactly the same height on both sides, the rear is equal on both sides but is sitting a little lower and I got the dreaded signal to bring it to the dealer.
I'm thinking its some kind of air release valve, any know if its a easy fix?

So there is a plug that has 2 orings in it and is held in my a couple plastic clips that got brittle and broke off. The plug goes into the valve junction box where all air lines connect to. I couldn't just plug it in as the clips wouldn't hold it in.
I went the auto parts store and got a new oring, then I went and pulled out a couple of my favorite zipties and BOOM back in business! It would have been an easy $1000 for the work I did as the labor to remove the fender liner, pull out the compressor, and rig up some stuff but now the wires are cleaner and tucked away better than they were before.
