Do everything w/ 3" Stainless Steel:
$$Long tube headers$$, remove secondary cats, remove resonator and replace w/ x-pipe, if you aren't happy, gut mufflers.
That's what I am doing soon. It will be VERY well documented.
thats basically what I have been up to. Getting Long tubes made and should hopefully have them within the next month. Not gonna gut mufflers though. Eventually I will sell the car and plan to return the exhaust to stock so wanna keep all parts in tact. One thing i am doing you dont mention is once I delete the stock forward cats I plan to replace them with a nice set of aftermarket high-flow cats right after the long tubes.

Hmm, I am making a few things bolt in and out, but if I gut the mufflers I have to buy new ones =/ Tons of people won't have problems buying a car w/ these mods. Well like I said, i will see how it sounds before I gut them.
I've considered some sort of valve or something to be able to open and close exhaust, to make it quieter, IE if I don't want to disturb neighborhood, I close the valves a bit, roll up quietly as she sneaks out the window, no one ever knew I was there.
