Using an Actron Scanner to measure boost?

I recently purcashed an Actron Scanner Plus to diagnose codes on my other cars and watch the IAT temps etc on the Benz. How accurate should these things be when reading the MAP KPA readings?? You think they're pretty reliable readings?

The reason I ask, I saw 200+ MAP KPA readings on the scanner after some test runs- that's 29psi of boost. As far as I know the M275 AMG (V-12, twin turb) was limited to 22psi? :nix:

One must subtract ambient atmospheric pressure from that reading.

Ahhhh. 200 MAP KPA-30.00 (pressure) = 170KPA= approx 24psi. Does that sound legit?

200 kPa - 100 KPa (atmospheric pressure) = 100 Kpa = 1 bar or 14,5psi.

Gotcha- thanks chief :y

That means my car saw a max boost of 18psi yesterday on the dyno

I just bought a Actron CP9670, and using it for the first time. It recognizes my car, 2007 Mercedes SL550, and the next page has a bunch of codes to choose from, like: (ME97)/ARMADA etc, (ME272)/ARMIN
Does anyone know what these mean and how to select the right one to choose?
Thanks,
Brian A.

Torque Pro in combination with an ELM 27 adapter (IIRC) will relay to you a lot of what the car has to say, all bundled up in a neat set of customizable gauges on your smart phone screen. Good stuff for a bit under $30 for the app and blutooth device.
