I hit a bird and I got his worm! (Pics)
So I am driving on the backroads, I come into a downhill turn, downshift and then jump on it, just before I mashed the gas, here comes Mr. Bird, I mash it and he disappears into the grill! (Ut-ohhh...) I run through the short stretch of roads and pull to the side of the road and here I have this impression in my front lower girll and ...THE PRIZE! I have his worm, that's what you get for ****ing up my mesh, I take yo' dinna'. I am not sure if he died, or? I hit him going like 110mph and there is no blood
I came home and did a little bit more lookin' and found some feathers in odd places... I think he went under the car, but didn't hit any of the wheels... he could be laid out on the road back there, but I am not going to check.

Again with the worm
And I looked closely and poked, its a worm, not a bird part.

****ing impression again
I am broke, so I am going to attempt to go fix this with pliers

Use one of those metal hangers from a dry cleaner to fix it. No need to spent 300 dollars on a that grille that you have to take the bumper off to replace (or so I am told).

If you can get your mits behind the dented mesh grill EZ as pie! Just push gently in center of depression & it'll pop right back into place (Maybe remove few screws from bottom skid plate to get at backside mesh? or possibly reach it by removing Top MB grill 1st ?)

Open the hood and push the grill out completely by hand. It is easy to do. You can then re-form it by hand and then just push it back in. The metal is soft. Make sure all the retaining clips are pointed forward when you put it back in.
I have done this twice. If you catch the edge of a curb when parking because the airmatic dropped a little, the lower plastic will twist up and push in the greill.

You don't need to take off the bumper to replace grill. I just did one for my friend. I taped off the bumper so it wouldn't scratch then carefully removed and installed new grill and clips as needed.

I removed my grill last week due to some bent with the front parking stone (pushed up bottom bumper). Its easy, use 2 flat head screw drivers, carefully use one screwdriver to pry each of the black clips and use the other to pull out the grill at each clip area. Do to all six and carefully pullout so you do not scratch the paint. Grill's made of very soft aluminum.

Had the same thing happen today on the 405 in Long Beach. I have to take out the dent on the center mesh grill. Lucky no worm!
