Is it safe to put the power intake filters on my E55?
If anyone has it on their car, does it increase hp/tq? Do you feel more power?

The air inside the hood of an E55 is WAY TOO HOT to use those filters.
Maybe if they designed it to draw fresh air through the lower air damn it may have been a good idea.

This setup actually locates the filters very close to the intake tube openings in the radiator support. Thericker put this setup on his SL600 and has had nothing but good things to say about it. I think this setup will really make the supercharger WHINE and all that it really needs is a heat shield to be fabricated to protect the filters from the engine bay heat. If you dislike the foam filters, you could go with K&Ns, but it was mentioned that these can retain more heat due to their wire construction. I think someone will be very happy if they try this setup on an E55, and I am considering it.
