You might be doing it on the wrong display screen. You have to toggle through the screens until you get to the "permanent" Service Message (this is the same message except it doesn't disappear, NOT to be confused with the exact same message which only appears for a few seconds upon startup). Once you get to that screen, hit the reset button for 5 seconds and it will bring you to the menus in the PDF file. Use the "Confirm" option to get rid of the service reminder. This worked on my E55 so hopefully it's the same on a 63.

This is so helpful to know that it corresponds with the service # in the manual.

Glorified oil change, visual inspections and I think they call for brake fluid flush, nothing you can't do at home with proper tools.

Cheers

thats prob because aftermarket oiled filters have been known to dick with sensors if to much oil was applied. that being said, i put them in my car, just padded them down with a rag to insure there wasnt to much oil on it

K@N filters let too many larger particles through. Article around where a guy raced a 944 turbo and had to rebuild every year. Switch to stock filters and the engine had the same numbers after the season as they had at the beginning.

Not to bump an old thread, but I am due for service C and have 91K miles on the car....anyone know a good local person in the Houston area that can help me out and not get ripped off?

Maybe Eurocharged?

This is why, we don't take our cars to the dealership. Find yourself an independent Mercedes Shop, that you can trust to perform all your routine services and save your money.
If you don't know by now, this is how the dealerships make their money, thru the services they provide that is more expensive than what an independent shop would charge.
