Is there such a thing as a steal on an e55?

With prices dropping so fast and values so dependent on miles and condition, is there really any way to tell if you're getting a great deal?
I've may have a chance to buy a 2005 E55 w/ 74,000 miles that is currently held by a bank as a repossession sale. Condition appears to be good and I have both a CARFAX report and service report from the local dealership. Looks like it has been well-cared for. Car is up for bid and so I went low - $18,500 - they have indicated they will probably accept the bid, which suprised me to be honest.

18500 is a steal for any year's E55 Kompressor unless it has a hundred thousand miles or it's got some major issues. If you can, get an inspection before committing to buy and figure on getting a warranty.

To the OP - some might advise that a "steal" is a long-shot with Kompressor AMGs... you can pay now, or pay later... but either way you'll wind up paying.
