Here you will see a screen that shows the voltages which correspond to the height of the vehicle. they must be within the given ranges in the left hand column. use the + and - buttons to lower the car (In my screenshot I am in the car with a friend in the back seat, so that is why it is at 3.27, it should not exceed 3) Then hit F2
Enter in these inclination angles and if the car is within the voltages supplied in the page before, the car will accept the new lowered setting, if not it will reject it.

- No one should be in the car when you lower it right?
- How are your lowering it to make sure its level in Manual mode?
- Do you have the level sensors or just eye balling it?
- Will it lower the car in real time or do I need to disconnect and start up the car to see changes?

GREAAAT THREAD!!!
now a question... when i first purchased my car, my adaptive headlights used to move around a LOT... i took the car to the dealer cause the previous owner messed with the suspension lowering settings, and they flashed it all back to stock but my headlights didnt move as greatly as before... did you find anywhere that you can adjust this? mine used to move left/right quite a bit, right now its very subtle...

Boy 2009 sure has been the year of miracles for us W211 guys. First 211 in the 10's 1/4 mile and now THIS!!! WOW!!
Thanks again Aleks!!
Only one quick thing.
On the -10 mod info. It's always been a tricky thing but if I am not mistaken, your info to hit f4 might not be correct.
It's been coined the -10c mod so I think that throws a lot of people off when they get to Star.
If you hit F5 and increase the correction value, the fan will come on sooner. Least that is what I have always been taught since VRUS discovered it years ago.
Check out the instructions on the screen. I know it's a bit confusing, but I really think you need to hit F5 and increase the correction value to it's max.
Heh didn't want the guys to have their fans turn on later than stock in the warm climates. They would riot.
I will see if I can find VRUS's post on this.
Otherwise, rock on!!!

Yeah it's confirmed. Ya gotta hit F5 and increase the correction value in order for the fan to come on 10c earlier. Sounds weird but it's correction value in Star.
Maybe wanna edit that Aleks so future guys aren't heating up the engine 10c.

The secret is finally out after all these years!

Excuse for the noob questions, but I tried searching and couldn't find the answer....
How are you guys accessing STAR? Are you guys going to a local shop/stealership or are you actually accessing this through your own laptop with STAR diagnostic sw installed? If so, where can I get the correct plug with the port to connect to the car?
Thanks in advance
-Frank

Aleksander1099,
I just would like to thank you for the information, about lowering my E63. I emailed this information, to my local indy shop Benz Elite Automotive in Alexandria, VA.
They were so greatful for the information, that they lowered my car free of charge.
I couldn't be more happier, of the outcome, then I am right now.
Thank you, Thank you
Thank you so much

In regards to where to purchase star, it is not cheap. Others have found it certian places on the internet, I saw they sell a chinese copy on ebay for about $2000. I bought an authentic one from a seller here in chicago, and it is not cheap. It is probably easier to get a friend at the dealer

Thank you very much for this post. I sent it to Star Motors here in Kansas City and the tech read it and agreed to give it a try for me. I wanted a really small amount of lowering - 4-5 mm in back and 8-10 mm up front. With the instruction all went perfectly - we even used the opportunity to perfectly level the car side-to-side. All done for $105.98
THANK YOU aleksandar1099

This post is awesome! Do you happen to know how to turn off the annoying "Don't forget key" buzzer everytime I leave the car? I'm so use to it now that I'll leave my lights on because I think it's my key warning.

top thread, will try this tonight!
theres a few other things you can do with star in dev mode which may be of interest
1. Activate VIM
2. Remove VMAX (speed restriction)
3. Activate Remaining fuel display in IC
4. active cornering fog lights
5. Alarm beep on activation
5. Seat belt alarm deactivate
6. flashing brake light on hard brake\flashing hazards
I will add locations in star for these functions over the next few days after i have confirmed them!
Any other functions which should be in the list, add away!

VIM is doable, BUT only if you have development mode STAR.
theres a few other things that can be done on the w211
- Flashing brake lights on hard braking (or have flashing blinkers on hard braking)
- cornering foglights
