check in the regional area forums someone may have a DAS unit that you could use.

Thank you ...I found a MB mechanic that have one in the area and he'll do it. One thing came to mind, If this method of lowering it by DAS is it reversible and reset to default if needed?

Basically you can raise the car back up the desired height when needed via star

Can anyone confirm there's a tire pressure warning you can activate with STAR on non-TPMS equipped cars?

"Tire Pressure Loss Warner can be activated through stardiagnose on any 2006 W211...no parts needed, it gets it's reading off ESP - just some version coding - no reading of airpressure in the IC, just a warning when the pressure of one of the tires drops too much.

Tire Pressure Monitor System is the more active system that has its own control module, 4 antennas, 4 senders and pressure readings in the instrument cluster...this can be retrofitted in any W211 and costs approx 2000USD to do so"

you can go in the CGW and select present for TPMS. you may also have to do the same in the instrument cluster and system diagnostics.
but i am not sure if it will work if you dont have the hardware.

Anyone know if the 'auto off' for the recirculate can be disabled. I prefer to keep it on recirculate yet Mercedes believes otherwise. Admittedly have not looked to deeply into STAR yet for this.

Told by local dealer in the UK that the option to lower the W166 in Star is greyed out and the level cannot be changed. Thoughts?

this is possible, sadly I don't remember the steps, but I was able to program it so that it is closed all the time but it opens for a little bit and them closes back up automatically from time to time,(it said that is for maintaining the proper oxygen level in the cabin) but there was a option for just leave it close all the time, there is also a option to have it open when the car is off to help the doors to close easier.

I found all this while trouble shooting a bad N70B1 temperature sensor in the overhead console.

Hi, does anybody know where i can find this option in DAS ? It is not in the same location as the W211.

It is not in instrument cluster-- special functions.

First, Lowering the car.
Get to the 211 Section

You will get to the main menu

Then go to Func perf by more than...

Then Chassis

Then Level adj

Then Suspension

And here is where people have problems, they just go to actuations and then lower it, IT WILL NOT STAY LOWERED this way, you have to go to initial startup

Then Initial with manual settings

Then F2

Here you will see a screen that shows the voltages which correspond to the height of the vehicle. they must be within the given ranges in the left hand column. use the + and - buttons to lower the car (In my screenshot I am in the car with a friend in the back seat, so that is why it is at 3.27, it should not exceed 3) Then hit F2

Enter in these inclination angles and if the car is within the voltages supplied in the page before, the car will accept the new lowered setting, if not it will reject it.

Now, how to activate the unlock and lock beep (honestly, one of the best mods to do if you have an older model e55 )
First Control units

Then Body

Then rear SAM

Then Control unit adaptations

Then national version of ATA function

At this screen you will see a pull down menu with a list of different regions on it. The only ones you need to worry about are USA with buzzer and Netherlands. If you choose USA, i will give you three short quick beeps when you lock the car and one short when you unlock it. Netherlands will give you three longer beeps when you lock the car and one long when you unlock it. Personal preference on which one you like. Then hit F3

Then F3(YES)

Hope this helps out some people. I really did not find a good DIY for Star Diagnostics, so I thought I would help out!

Thanks
Aleks

EDIT: Info for -10 Mod added
How did you come up with the figures for inclination 3.5, 3.5, -1.1, -1.1? Reason I am asking is I followed your instructions on my E55 and it worked great and my friend wants me to do his 2010 ML63.

Select the lower limit of the inclination angle range on the W164 chassis. The inclination rage is displayed on the lowering screen.

Does anyone know what changes to Airmatic are made with the ROW setting?

I noticed after sitting at a stoplight for a few minutes, it raises up noticeably. It didn't do this before.
