What does your screen name mean?

At the risk of coming across like a teenager introducing myself at summer camp, I'm going to ask this question anyway...

What does your screen name on this forum mean or stand for?

People are constantly confused by mine. My screen name is a reference to the Ben Stiller movie "Zoolander," specifically to Will Farrell's character named Mugatu. Just a stupid name I thought I was funny.

There are some interesting names on this forum--anyone else want to share?

My buddies called my juicee, cause I could get them into clubs,
juice turned into juicee. I was Juicee55, then moved to the 63.

AZIPOD 11-22-2009 03:08 AM

An Azipod thruster is a configuration of ship propellers placed in pods that can be rotated in any horizontal direction, making a rudder unnecessary. These give ships better maneuverability than a fixed propeller and rudder system. Primary advantages are electrical efficiency, better use of ship space, and lower maintenance costs. Ships with Azipod thrusters do not need tugs to dock.

VCA_AMG 11-22-2009 03:20 AM

Fascinating stuff already.

I had no idea "azipod" was a real word!

harjothundal 11-22-2009 03:35 AM

Great thread!

930chas 11-22-2009 08:00 AM

Cool thread!!

When I got involved with the forums, my project car was an Imagine Auto built 1987 911 turbo..aka 930. My name is Charlie but people call me Chas, so I went with 930chas. Probably should change it, since I sold the car a few years back.

X2Board 11-22-2009 08:21 AM

Mine was given to me by an old road racing friend, way back in '80 when I started to drive in rallies. I started driving when I was 9 and got my first car (Datsun 1200) when I was 13, even though I could not legally drive it on the road until I was 17.

X for the accelerator, 2 = to, Board = the floorboard of the car, which was the only way to get 75HP to do anything :rolf: That car taught me to manage energy, smoothness and how to "read" traffic, as momentum was my best friend.

I drove the same way as I moved up to more powerful cars and my rep was set in stone, so X to Board I am.

blazeone 11-22-2009 08:36 AM

No my forum name does not stand for smoking a joint :D

I used to collect class 3 NFA weapons. During a shoot we would say lets blaze one. Especially my Krinkov it put out a a hugh fire ball in full auto.

Lopes80 11-22-2009 09:17 AM

Mine is boring after seeing all that.. Lopes is my surname, and I was born in 1980.. shhh*tt, i'm getting old!

izzyz28 11-22-2009 09:20 AM

My nickname growing up was always Izzy, which is short for Israel(yes, just like the country, and no, I'm not Jewish). In 2003 I bought a 1995 Z/28 and joined my first forum. Needing a screen name I could remember, I simply combined my nickname and Z/28.

The funny thing is, I spent tons of money modding that Camaro. Cam, every bolton imaginable, a shot of spray, etc... The best I ever got it to run off the spray was a 13.12 @ 107. Now I've moved up to a 4,100 pound car that runs a full second faster, is comfortable, quiet, and through some weird twist of fate the Benz has been more reliable.

You young whippersnappers better stop complaining. Cars made in the year I was born, are now considered classics, just like me. '67 was a good year :y

Forrest Gump 9 11-22-2009 11:38 AM

Forrest Gump was and still is my idol/hero. Number 9 is the most fascinate number and also my lucky number, so Forrest Gump 9 it is.

cahiil55k 11-22-2009 12:12 PM

Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean. I had a '95 Z28 back in the day as well, and did the same type mods...and also never could get it past 13.X in Houston at Baytown, one of the fastest tracks anywhere. Funny how speed is relative---at the time I thought that car hauled ass!!

speedpeddler 11-22-2009 12:58 PM

I've been in the Drag Racing industry for over 30 years designing, building, and distributing chassis and suspension products.

Hence: SPEEDPEDDLER. My good friend Dick Moroso, RIP, already had SPEEDMERCHANT so I couldn't use that. Speedmerchant was also the name of Dick's sportfisher.

I thought mine did too, until I bought a 2000 ZX-12R. If I were to put that bike up against the E55(or a Lambo, Ferrari, anything short of a Veyron) it wouldn't even be a race. Might as well have the car in reverse.

socali.luv 11-22-2009 01:10 PM

Mine came from the first time I went to So Cal... and I fell in love in the area, and with my now ex- hence the memories of my first love- SoCali
