Question E63 Aftermarket Brake Pads

Has anyone come across any aftermarket brake pads for E63's..?? I can't find anything. I was hoping maybe EBC or Hawk had made something, but nothing I can find...$$$ is not the issue...The stock brakes are amazing, but dayum that dust is ridiculous. Yes, I know perf. brakes will dust no matter what, but I don't remember any EBC sets I've had ever dusting as much as these OE. Anyways, just curious if there is or not...

research says no. porterfields are highly recommended by the 55'ers. I read somewhere that the 63 front pads are multi piece. I am just able to back out of the garage before the wheels are dusty again!

Slow
I looked and looked at all the major brands of after market brake pads and could not find any? I had to go with OEM.

Have you ever considered Brembo, since they make the calipers. Might want to give them a shot. If you find out any information, please post it. I would be interested in hearing, what you found out, since I too have an E63.

I believe you're right, it's Pagid.

Not sure if there ever will be an aftermarket choice for these cars. Not a big market, I guess.

Dust is bad (but yeah they are very good binders.) I think that's why the OEM stock wheels are gray paint.

has anyone got in contact with ebc or porterfields? I would really like to wash the car and wheels once a week rather than my wheels 3 times a week and the car once.

Looks like i'm staying with stock pads...dirty wheels for life..!!! I am putting on the two-piece Evosport rear rotors though (Drop about 15 unsprung lbs) and Goodridge GStop stainless steel lines. I have no idea what MB charges for pads, I'm going to check this weekend since I get parts at wholesale, but I found them for about $400 f & r here http://www.bimmerspecialist.com/usa/...s_search_page/

Keep your cores and contact the aftermarket vendors about re-lining them. I think it was Hawk that I talked to about a year ago about this.

Hey good find. Try them and let us know

Did you say minus 15 pounds for the Evopsport rotors? That's a lot. Per axle, right? Would def be worth it, imho. Are they on your car yet?

It's 15 for your rear axle, our front's are already two-piece floating with an aluminum hat, so there's no reason to remake those..!! They're not on yet, (had to get a new steering rack for my truck instead) but they'll be on for a track day in March along with SS brake lines. I'll definitely let you know about the pads, rotors, and lines performance.!!!

Nice find my friend.

Take the time to read about their pad formulas and you will see that ONLY their Bobcats are recommended for street use and they are NOT track worthy. Their wording.

ALL of their other pads are NOT recommended for the street due to excessive dusting and noise. Again THEIR wording.

Although the A6 compound intrigues me

I have Porterfield R4S pads on the rears of my E63. Tim had to custom make them when I ordered. HUGE difference from OEM. Good bite, not to mention tons less brake dust. I'll be replacing my front pads soon with Porterfields as well. I definitely recommend them.

I'm gonna go for the A6...the operating temp range looks fine for the street except on a winter morning...not a big problem in Dallas...

I got a discount for being in the industry, so it came out to $100 or so. Can't remember exactly now, but it wasn't bad. Max H. here on the forums helped me with the install.

When I called Porterfield they had no front pads for the E63? This was around October November time frame. Did they start to produce them for us now?

TIA
