Question about "-10 mod" and difference between Code3 H/E v Eurocharged H/E ...
Just as the subject title states, what is the -10 mod? What use is it? Is it a termostat? Any performance gains?
My second question has to do with the Code3 heat exchanger and the Eurocharged heat exchanger...what's the difference? Or are they basically similar in performance gains/efficiency?

From what I've read on here and people I've spoken to, the -10 is a fan modification (changing the temp range, i.e. cooling quicker than usual) and isn't really necessary unless you get into heavy modding (i.e. more than just a pulley/tune upgrade). That's what I've gathered so far with my own research on here and also talking to various MB gurus around town.
As far as the heat exchanger, I don't think you can go wrong with either. Most folks on here seem to go with Code3 and others have the Euro one. Either way, both are reputable and you can't go wrong with either product.

the -10 fan mod is a star diagnostics change in the temp range that the fan kicks on at. an example would be normally the fan comes on at 195* F. the mod will tell the fan to kick on 185* F instead cooling the fluid sooner. this can be done all the way down to approx 155* F but cel may be triggered by the p0128 (low coolant temp) code. the mod usually runs about 50$
this mod varies from area to area depending on your specific needs ie: fl and arizona can be set lower than colorado and montana.
as for the h/e the only way to know is to ask each manufacturer what the h/e is made of how big are the cooling tubes and how many sq inches of cooling space each has. then compare prices and go from there
i dont know how much space you have in the front of your radiator but this is what i have in my slk32. its huge and cools like a beast! cost was 350$

I mentioned this in the thread about quality where Eddie500 and M3Addict go out it on E55s. I noticed it because of the names but also TQaddict started his account and posting right around the same time your buddy M3 came back. Suspicious is all I am going to say. I couldn't give M3 enough credit to be smart enough to come up with a less than similar name so who knows but I have all the faith in you fishing him out

I believe m3-addict disguises himself as other usernames so he cant ask question he doesn't know. Then when he has the chance to "shine" his knowledge of the AMG's he can sound intelligent.

I just purchased my 05 and joined the forum recently to gain insight on some things (maint, mods etc.) for the future.
If you guys are just going to waste my time and not answer questions, maybe it's time I look for another forum.
