Houston E55/E63'ers

Hey Guys,

I'm heading out to Houston some time soon to check out the area. Any suggestions on places to go and check out? I'd love the feedback. Thanks! :)

Surburban area = sugar land
Tendy part and night life area = heights / kirby (all of these are inside the loop)

There are a lot of houston members on this board, I am sure you will get their input too.

Are you looking for areas town to move to? or places to be social?

Woodlands for living and working is a great place too.

Midtown and Galleria area is very upscale with lots of great restaurants.

Yes possibly, but for this trip, I'd like to check out the popular areas for shoppping, eating, etc.

I'll probably be staying near the Galleria if that helps.

The Galleria is one huge shopping mall so that take cares of shopping..
They have Pradda, Gucci etc. etc. etc..

Eating there are plenty close by for Steaks Flemmings or Morton's is great, for seafood there is the Oceanaire in the Galleria which is excellent.

There are all the run of the mill eateries like Cheescake Factory, Rain Forest Cafe etc. too.

There are a lot of trendy neighborhood bars that have opened in the heights it's a really nice laid back vibe.

I used to run through the Heights all the time , a lot of good food is what I remember. I should really get out more when I'm home. Not too mention downtown is just crazy now!!!
