Gates, the model number ends in 514. I had the one ending in 525 and it slipped at high speeds.

Thanks guys. My stupid belt was ok until higher rpm. It slips at higher rpm and broke. On its way out, it's also took a small coolant hose with it. I guess it could have been worse.

I'm currently running the gates 525 but the only reason is b/c I have those darn phenolic spacers under my blower plus a 180. I shredded the 514 (which barely fit)

I can agree with shardul, there is definitely something not right with the 525

I'm running the K080525 belt as I have a 172 and phenolic spacers, the 514 belt shreaded twice before we move to the 525 belt. The 525 has jumped the pulley a few times, not shreaded except for the one outer rib the rest of the belt is intact. Touch wood this one has been on for 4 weeks now. Jerry is getting me another belt to try just in case.

I think the width of the 525 belt is slightly wider than the 514 and I think this may be part of the problem as the pulleys were designed using the 514 belt.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
He is NOT looking for the supercharger belt, but the accessory belt.
Forrest, it is the same size as stock. No change.
