Lowered via STAR, pics!
So I lowered my car via star today. I had a MBZ AMG tech do it so the work and service was A+. We lowered with in ranges and then added two washers on either side for that extra .02 for good measure.
I will say that the car looks killer in person. It is exactly what I wanted, just to eliminate that gap between the tire and fender. The tire tread is just flush and I understand that in Sport 2 it will lower and additional ??'. The ride is noticeably stiffer and the car looks about 5x more aggressive. For those of you who were toying with the idea of lowering I will recommend star. You CANNOT slam with star because you have to stay with in ranges but you CAN lower enough to give you that sporty look you seek.
Thanks to Aleks for the 411 on how to go about it!

Looks killer. How much negative camber do you have now? How well can you bring it back within spec with an alignment? The STAR lowering is what I want to do, but not if I'm gonna go through tires in 5k miles.

Thanks Gents!
Houston I'm not sure if I have any negative camber. I'm not slammed but certainly lower then I expected. I will look into that. To be honest, it never crossed my mind that it would be a problem. If some one knows for sure will you throw some advice our way??
I will tell you that I went down to the garage and the car looks like it sits even lower. It settled nice...

Do you have just one ride height when lowered with Star or do you retain the ability to raise and lower the system relative to the new settings?

The drop was $400, asking. I got it down to $325 cash and I'm sure he'd extend the same courtesy to my fellow members. I think for $325 to be legit with in all the ranges is cool with me. Also the guy that did it can dismantle an AMG and put it back together in about an hour, blindfolded.
