Production Numbers for AMG W211

W109 W211 6.2L doesn't know what he's talking about. Check out how he test drove an '03 S55 that turned into an E and then into an '06 CPO car, and then ends with the most inexperienced, uneducated advice of the century.
I test drove a Mercedes S55 AMG 2003. Someone tagged the rear view drivers side mirror and to replace just the glass $830!!!!!!!! (i understand its an E but its not cheap) The car malfunctioned as the seat belt sensor went bad and the 2006 CPO car had a tire pressure sensor malfunction issue (Not a huge deal but you dont want all these issues happeneing on test drives). I personally have not driven a 2000-2006 AMG without a problem.
Also you like to mod cars, becareful with the 55 you are playing with fire...

I think one of two things in regards to the E63, the bad economy may be the reason for low E63 numbers. Too many E63's sat on dealer lots for a long time so why keep producing a high $$$ car when most will just sit only to be heavily discounted later.
my other thought is that the E63 suffers from the Steve Young syndrome

I'd be curious as to the production numbers worldwide.

X2Board you got it all wrong. Grandma bought the bike so she can practice the pit maneuver on the parked E63 in their public/apartment parking lot. I mean, why else would grandma park the bike so close to the E63's right-rear-end? Unless she just wanted to stick newspapers all over the E63 to take pictures and claim it as her own. This is why we ask for a picture IN TRUNK so we know the person actually has the keys to get in the car.

RE: W211 AMG Figures
I also thought the numbers would be higher, especially the 05 and 07 years which I thought were pretty popular....good economic times, cheap leases etc.
That being said, there are not too many AMG's in my neck of the woods either.

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but felt it would be appropriate to ask:
Does anyone know the production numbers for Performance Package (P030) vehicles.
Specifically curious of 2008 E63's as I just adopted one!

2004 E55 AMG
I agree with you 100% the car was released at a poor time during the major economic downfall. Even now people are getting huge incentives to buy the new ones off the showroom floor, it is also model year end.
As for the value of the E63 going up in 30 years maybe? Blown motor technology is coming a long way and the E55 is perfect example of people enjoying cars where you can spend a reasonable amount for the car and get a little more from some modifications (Which is why I believe they are so appealing). With the release of the Turbo 5.5 I dont think it looks good for the 63 long term 15 years or so. As its pricey to get comperable power from a NA car. I bought this car for its tribute to the 6.2 found in the W109. Coming from American cars and being a self proclaimed Benz guy. The W109 truely was a muscle car from Mercedes in the late 60s! It was super sweet and nobody really knows about them. I also enjoy the sounds of a big NA over a blown car personally. I dont know if the E63 is a car I wanna keep around that long personally, as I like cars and my tastes change over time. I just hope its worth 30k 4 years from today.

I am thinking about the AMG 4-matic that is suppose to be coming out. AWD in a modded AMG will be a freaky force of nature.

2014 AMG E63 S Wagon Production Numbers
Does anyone have the inside scoop. I thought I saw a registry somewhere. Is it up to date? Does someone of our members maintain it? What is the count. Did I see only 123 in 2013. Anyone know 2014 numbers?

digging up this. the monkey boy thing is WEIRD. i guess there's some history of which we'll never have an idea. seems like it's good that it's lost!
anyway, i have an 2007 e63 wagon (black) which i love. i see that it's rare. i am wondering if anyone knows how many have been wrecked or destroyed. essentially, how rare are they now? 2021?
any ideas??

I don't think there's any way to know that conclusively. Every state has its own way of databasing such things, or not at all.
But the point is, there were about 200 s211 E63's in the USA (more in the rest of the world). Regardless of how many are left here, it's extremely rare.
