Problem with my E55 Pulley's (Waterpump)
I recently brought my car in for a oil leak which the mechanic found to be a leak on one of the O-Rings for the oil filter housing. He replaced both the supercharger and alternator belts for me because they were soaked in oil. After replacing both belts, he found that the water pump pulley (housing) was wobbling quite badly.
Apparently I didn't notice it before because the old belts were so slick from the oil that the wobble was less noticeable.
If the water pump housing is wobbling, what could be the issue? Do I really need to replace the whole pump as he recommends?

Yes, water pumps are not repair parts. If you don't fix it now, it will start to leak soon and then it is the same result.
Is your pulley oversized? If so, you need a larger belt than OEM. If not, then it is simply the water pump and they do go after a while.
