Brake Calipers coming off for painting, anything to watch for
I will be pulling my front and rear calipers off soon for painting, is there anything I should be aware of when breaking these things down?

It seems simple enough but I thought I would just ask upfront to cover all bases.

if you plan to powder coat them then you will be baking them, wonder if the seals on the pistons will be compromised?

they will be painted, not powder coated, so no baking.

where did you get the AMG decals for the brakes, let me think about it on the system and what color did you buy?

The G2 paint kit is RED and bought those decals off from ebay but I have another good site that selling those for your big calipers too.

I've been told, watch your fingers with the electro-hydraulic brake system. May want to research it a bit more... Can lose a finger I'm told...

I might have to go to Cali just to get my calipers painted. The yellow I have has always bugged me because I do not feel they got the color correct.
