My engine-painting project finally finished (with pics)…PLUS NEW PLATE☺.

I actually painted the entire tank red, then removed the paint on the AMG by sanding in stages.
While I agree painting that part black would look great, that's a bit beyond my skill level.
I have considered wrapping the tubes. I know it would help, it is just that I can't help but think it would look a bit "do it yourself". I know that is silly, just my opinion.
I used the Dupli-color silver caliper paint that comes with parts cleaner, brush and paint.
After removing the surge tanks and airbox the sc is petty much fully exposed. After carefully taping it off I cleaned it with a wire brush and the parts cleaner. Finished it with some spray simple green and rag. Painted it in several LIGHT stages. This paint is very thick because it has both ceramic and a hardner built into it. Once you mix it it is "activated" and needs to be all applied in about thirty minutes or it hardens and is unusable.
I use very little paint at a time to avoid streaking and apply three coats, with only about five minutes in between.
Great thing about this type of panint is that it not only goes into the holes on the sc nicely, but it sets with heat. One spirited drive and it cures hard as nails.
Well see how long it lasts. I am just glad to finally have that rough, pitted, dull part nice and clean now....lol.

BTW, Everything looks GREAT!!!
Pics or it didn't happen.....

Thanks for the comments guys!
I used dupli-color caliper paint I bought at pep boys for @ $15.
Used Simple Green to clean the blower first and ley it dry before proceeding.
The great thing about the caliper paint with the ceramic and hardener in it is that the porous cast pieces just drink it up. Honestly I probably would have gotten the same results if I didn't clean it....of course I would never try that.

HA, waiting for some nice lighting. For the rest, Dupicolor 1650 is the perfect match for the supercharger on our cars. It is what I used. VHT yellow on my tanks with red lettering which was a $%^&* to get exact as it was all done by hand and a small brush.
I can powder coat just about anything myself, so I have a lot of options. Decisions decisions...
I have been contacted by several members regarding the engine badge. While it was thought that the JB Speed trunk badge will work, apparrently it won't. A member bought it and found out it is too small for the engine.
Here is the link to the exact item I used:

What paint and brush process did you use for the blower?
