62,000 now, bought it 18 months ago with 35,000. Its not my DD, just for fun and road trips. I just got to my parents house for the holidays and the whole way up I was repeating over and over again "I love this car, I love this car, I LOVE THIS F'ING CAR!!!"

In Germany the E55 taxis have well over 100,000 miles and they are fine. It's only in US that once the car hits 60,000 miles no one wants to buy them A well maintained car should do just fine. Mine is an '06 with 40K miles and i am planning on keeping the sucker for atleast 130,000 miles

Bought August 2010 w/ 37,000 miles on it.
Just hit 39,000 two days ago. My commute to work is ~3 miles one way
Weekends are when I really 'stack' the miles; I just head out and drive around. Absolutely LOVE this car.
Still under original MB factory warranty, but that ends on 3/31/2011; planning to get the extended warranty through MB, we'll see what options/prices I'll get.

The dealer 'cleaned out the drain holes' as part of my 20k service. Curious as to what else they should do to it as part of servicing.

Good to know there are high mileage e55s running out there. Know someone who's run a 300sel 6.3 since he bought it used in '72. Would like to think at least some of our e55s (owners too!) will still be running in 2048...!

It seems like in Europe where people tend to not flip their cars like cell phones and keep their cars maintained, MBs are considered to be long lasting cars.
