Has anyone tried these over the KNN?

I was told to install these over KNN and I know of a few guys having CL after installing KNN.
Car is a 07 E63 stock. I have the carbon with paper on and no CL when the carbon was remove.
From the look of the filter they seem to be the same as KNN in the end I think they are all the same. Just want to get some input for everyone or anyone who has them.
