W211 E63AMG /// Thinking of installing dry shot 75 Nos system. Any thoughts?
Hey guys thinking about installing a dry shot Nos kit onto my w211 e63.
Anyone has any experience?? How much can you run with 10lbs tank?
Dual 10lbs tank better for longer use obviously??
Also since I'm only thinking of getting below 100HP range , do you think it is
safe to use Dry set up compared to Wet setup? Only asking because
my car has Eurocharged tune on it which makes my timing different from stock
map. Then again since I 'm thinkin of dry set up my MAFs should compensate
the fule I guess .
What do you guys think ?

At one of our tune days here, Eurocharged tuned an E63 with a 100 shot (wet). It made 510+ all day. No other mods. And he killed alot of cars at the strip the following weekend.
I don't know much about a dry kit. I just thought I'd let you know since we have the same tuner.

when you say 510 you mean at the crank or at the rear wheel ? either way
amazing what Nos can do huh ? People say its expensive to refill Nos tanks
in CA anyone know how much it costs n stuff ?

A friend told me once.."nitrous knows no temperature...". His CL55 runs 10.5s with a 2 stage wet kit.

Im definitely getting the NOS KIT.
Would you happen to know if he did any tranny reinforcements? 510 at the
rear wheel means at least 600 HP range at the crank. Damn!!!!!!

The car was completely stock other than nitrous and Eurocharged tune. NO tranny upgrades.

I actually did consider Wet system ! Since it provides more sufficient fuel!!
However I was told, with wet system kits get expensive and more complicated.
Thats why I chose dry set up in the end. On top of that , I am only looking
for 70 shot . But still shall I install wet kit for the sake of the engine?
I am thinking of ZEX nos system, what do you think ?

I was at the dyno day with that E63 too. I thought it was like 504whp or something but it was just over 500whp. You will need to have the tune adjusted to run a little less timing which will hurt you some when off the bottle but is necessary when using the nitrous. Or if you plan on running race gas when you use the nitrous you could have the timing stay advanced like the tune currently has.
He started out with like 30 or 40whp more on the first run than what he had with tune only with the jets he had in it then we changed the jets like 2 or 3 times (both nitrous and fuel jet) and Jerry at Eurocharged adjusted the tune a little and he went from real low 400whp if I remember right to right at 500whp (a few whp over).

Put in a wet system ONLY!!! Dry systems will get you in trouble in a hurry. Spend a little more money now and you will be much happier in the long run. Here is what will happen with a dry kit -- "Man, that was a good run. The tune sure is working great!" Your buddy chimes in-- "Yeah, you almost had that guy. I bet with just a tiny bit more you could take him." You say "Well, I do have a little bit bigger jet in the trunk. I'm sure it will be fine for just one run so I can edge him out." Your buddy-- "Heck yeah! That's what I'm talking about!" Your mechanic two days later--"Yup, just what I thought. You have a nice hole burned through your #8 piston." THE END.
Wet system:
Same story except you have a larger fuel jet to add with the nitrous jet. The other guy loses, you hook up with his girlfriend and you don't have to call your mechanic for the bad news.
Obviously, this is all "tongue in cheek" but you will get hooked on the power and will become numb to the rush of your initial "shot". A wet kit will grow with you more easily and be much safer. I would bet good money there are guys on here that only wanted a little more power just for fun and are now looking for ways to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of their car. Wet will be MUCH cheaper in the long run.

Expensive? Wet nitrous systems are cheap and are simple to install, simpler than dry systems because you don't have to necessarily tune the car ( unlike dry systems ). Plus, a 75 shot is peanuts on a 63...here in PR there are a few 63's with 200+ shots and they run great ( and are stupid fast ). I would do a minimum of 100.
go with Wet system, do you have to have race gas , ?? that had high octane
rate. I mean I also did like dry set up cause you dont need additional fuel tank
inside the trunk.

Kakakaka thanks for the advice !! I will order the WET system.

As for race gas, with the nitrous you need to run a tune with less timing, do not go run a 100 shot and keep your existing tune or you are asking for trouble. If you do keep the timing how it is then you need to have race gas in your tank when you spray.

you are not spraying ?? How does it work ?
Speaking of ignition timing I just talked to Jerry from Eurocharged, he did
recommended a new map suitable for 100shot Nos and did tell me to go with
Wet setup since I might get board with 75 granny shot.
Hey ~ How wide is your front ?? Any rubbing issues when in a Full lock to lock
I guess you probably running 9 inch front and maybe 11 inch in ther rear ???
I'm only asking cuz I'm looking into rims and I was thinking lightweight 18s in
the front. But if I'm getting NOS , I think I can use some more meats in the
rear so. Also would happen to know your off sets for current wheels?

Sounds like you are new to nitrous. Imo, this is not that the platform to "get your feet wet". If you accidentally screw up while learning, you are going to have a major bill on your hands repairing an AMG motor. Save some more $$$ and get a nice set of headers instead.

Ya, I have 3 things I'm thinking...
1. You're going to haul ***!
2. Why only 75 shot? You have a 6.2 liter v8! Nitrous loves displacement.
3. Wet is always safer then dry, there are some great systems on the market today. GL!

I haven't personally dealed with nitrous, but is there any way to get the nitrous to automatically spray at a set throttle position?
I know with Methanol systems like for my Subaru STi, we have it hit at like a preset number of boost, around 15lbs of boost and it's tuned to cut fuel and timing and spray the meth/nitro with less gas (as long as it's tuned right and you have meth/nitrous in the tank!)

I know I am a little late but how did the nitrous set up end up working for you? I'm considering doing one on my w211 E63 but want to get feed back from people that have done it. Any tranny problems or anything?
