Trunk Lid Closing?
When I first purchased the car I noticed a very small paint chip on the drivers quarter panel within the crevice of the trunk line. Over time, I noticed that the reason for the chip was that when the trunk lid violently closes, the corner of the lid lid slightly bounced against the quarter panel near the rear window. The chip never got any bigger and it never went thru bare metal (the primer was still intact). The interesting thing is that there are no tell tale signs that body work was ever performed on the car. The paint flow is pretty clean, no signs of masking, etc.
Other than the trunk springs and the two rubber outside bumpers, what adjustments may need to be made. I feel as if the closure is really hard and violent, any way to ease it up? The dealer couldn't figure it out. Any thoughts?

Wow, how would you know that and why wouldn't the dealer know that? The dealer gets paid by Mercedes for warranty repairs anyways, why wouldn't they diagnose the issue as being a faulty trunk module? They told me that they adjusted the springs. After further research, I found out that the springs were to assist the trunk opening, not closing. What do you recommend is the best way to convince the dealer that the trunk module is bad or needs to be replaced?

That sounds typical to me, at least according to the above notice and from what I have read when researching my power trunk issues. My trunk still won't open or close via power assist. I'm guessing either the pump or module needs to be replaced on mine.
