downgrading-looking for a 172 oem true pulley

I dont know how you people are running 185/90mm pulleys and putting the power down.enless an lsd makes that big of a difference im downgrading to a 172.

I cant use first gear at all and second is tc all day.

So if someone has a 172 oem pulley hit me up!

Meh, 1st is useless but 2nd gear is pretty good with my Toyo T1R's. But then again, 1st was useless even stock so what's the point of downgrading....lol.

I had it perfect with stock pulley and all my mods. The car had full grip in first and ran 12.0 flat at 119.

on the street my car was faster on stock boost lol.

Well I was roasting my hoosiers at the track last night with anything more than part throttle launch and LSD so it's tough to manage with the torque the 185 makes. Still wouldn't change a thing...It's not all about numbers since the car feels like a monster all the time.

Exactly its not all about numbers and I learned that lol,I have a few vidoes of me breaking second gear loose in M2.I can't use the power on the street and 3rd gear isnt really fun at 2,000 rpms.

I think going from a 178 to a 172 will be about 20-30 ftlbs less torque and about 15-20whp but Ill be able to use first and second on the street again

I still dont know how you guys are running the 190s.Im sure 3rd gear feels awesome but to use it youre going way over the speed limits.

can you nail second gear form say 30mph without the tc kicking in?I know you have an LSD in your car and I think that is helping you big time.

Hmm.. When I had my nitto NT05r's they hooked like crazy on the street. I went another route bc im building a drag wheel set up and have nitto Invo's on there now. I have never taken it to the track with these tires. My friend is there now in my car and pulled a 1.7 60' first shot down the track and has never launched my car before, and has never had it at the track..
