ATCO RENTAL DEC.1ST MONDAY NEED HEAD COUNT
Last rental of season probably on Dec. 1st, it is a Monday and the weather looks to be very good as of now! It will cost $200 per car and prep will be awesome as always! One lane for DR's and one for street tires. I would like to get a head count this time because of the short notice. Thanks
I am on the Caddy forum as well and will post this there as well, any of you who are on other forums, feel free to post the details. I just got an 06 e55 white with every option to play with in Fla. this winter!

Probably but you will need to get those cement wheels off you car! lol What are those things like 60lbs each with tires? Seriously, I am going to post on the Caddy forum and see if anyone has a drag set up I can buy, use or rent! I think I can go 10.20's with drag stuff.

I love your wheels! I am preferably looking for a stock set for my newly acquired e55 if you know of any available being that you are local. I would take a set like yours though!
As far as the rental goes, little weak on guys right now. We have like 6 maybe only 5 so we need peeps to respond asap to make it happen!

Wheels are Rotiform SNA. Had to replace due to multiple cracks driving thru the city almost everyday, still cant call them soft since i put them through hell, but they do set nice with the car, they now sit in my garage, might replace the rears and keep them.

Yes, cool wheels. I will let you all know tomorrow for sure.

My parts aren't here yet otherwise I'd consider a street tire day. I'm curious to know what my new set up will trap. I think I will be a little gun shy for a while, staying away from the stickies... drinking beer instead of doing shots.

Yeah, yeah I met him before! 'He' went that on street tires for a reason that most others won't. I will try and explain my version of this answer. First of all, it is an SL. Different gearing I believe, weight distribution, possible converter differences on SL and total power output in certain parts of the powerband and also, it is possible that his low end torque isn't quite what some of you guys guys but his mph is a dif story! His speed is capable of 10.50's. I went 10.58 @ 130.2mph. He can't get better than a 1.59 60' bc of those factors mentioned and others that I am sure play into it that I am not sure of. He dead punches it, on a well prepped track, and NO SPIN...in 45 degree weather! The E class guys and you CL guys can't do that. Just my opinion of course!

The E has a 2.65 gear, the SL and CL both share a 2.82 gear iirc. The weight distribution and the abc instead of the E airmatic helps also. With an EXTREMELY well prepped track the CL65 can probably do it in street tires.

I think the turbo's have too much torque but there is one thing I can say! I am rooting for him and would love to see it!

The CL65 has a 2.65 rear also, Maybe a steeper first gear, I don't know. The big difference becomes in building boost. I was able to launch my car around 2500 rpms or slightly more, but with the open rear, if both tires weren't hot, it would spin about 60-80 feet off the line. As boost would build and hit peak torque, it would spin right into/through second depending on traction. If both tires were hot, I could get a decent launch. However, all that twist probably helped my pinion to snap. The car is making more power now and I have since added a LSD, I think it would still be a handful even launching from a lower rpm since I would be facing the same issue as it builds boost. The E55s are lighter and I think they are easier to lighten up. I think most of the guys blowing the tires off the line have 3k stall convertors in them. I'm sure an SL would spin off the line with one as well.

Sorry guys but racing is cancelled due to the lack of cars. If anyone wants to recommend another day before the 13th then I will set it up and hope to have enough guys. I can make it any day!
