I thought the oil cooler is that one with the fan on the right side?
Is this like a oil cooler for the supercharger?

It's the trans cooler, the oil cooler is the one with the fan. And yes that is 04's and up, 03's had the trans cooler built into the side of the radiator that leak coolant into trans... speaking of that - Hey Shardul - you get your car back yet for the cooler project?

I followed the lines on mine and it's apparently a secondary oil cooler ( there is the one with the fan and this one on the bottom...but they both seemed to be connected in series ). It also seems that not all E55's have this. My transmission cooler is inside the radiator ( mines an 05 ).

Interesting - I was told the 03's went into the radiator and 04 and newer went to an external cooler. But since GT-ER has an 05 and was able to verify I was told bad info. I still want to put a stand alone cooler in as I know my 03 is prone to leaking coolant...

Yeah, I had to remove my radiator because I broke mine by mistake and part of the removal was disconnecting the tranny oil lines.
