My IAT's are really high!
What do I do? I have a PLM Heat exchanger and CM30 pump. Should I go with a rear reservior or a BMW power steering reservior? My IAT's are at 175 on the dyno. 175!!! I still made 458whp and 545ftlbs, heatsocked.

is that a steady 175?
Check your pump and for air in the system...
go on the read and punch it a few times, and watch iat recovery.
Trunk tank time...I am typically only 10 degrees over ambient

It is a steady 175. Thanks for the tip bro. I will do so when I finish work. I think its cheaper to do a BMW reservior. What do you think?

Resevoir won't make that much of an difference. Track down your problem first, because a steady 175 you have an issue some where. Figure that out and then consider a resevoir, and yeah I would stick with a front mount ie. bmw resevoir.

I think its because my pump is not wired to the ignition. I did a 2nd gear pull on the freeway and I hit 142. Recovery was very quick.

What you need is the renntech he and pump upgrade for $4000. lol
But no, somethings definitely wrong, I'd wire the pump to run all the time, split the system, re bleed...

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
We have similar mods and mine are never that high.
What I posted on another thread.
What I posted on another thread.
Some concrete figures:
102 dry heat today
Cruising @ 40mph with a/c = 108 IAT
Cruising @ 60mph with a/c = 116 IAT
Punch from 60-100 results in 145 IAT and down to 125 in 30 seconds recovery
All in all, runs great, pulls hard, shreds tires. As the black C5 Z06 found out when I pulled a train on him.

I have 180 pulley, headers, exhaust, EC heat exchanger, cm30 pump wired always on (system bled and pump works from watching high pressure swirl in the remote resevoir) and a separated system with little tank up front in bumper above my heat exchanger. On dyno in almost identical weather I hit 176* on 3rd gear run and it dropped down after a few seconds when run was done. Also made right at 450whp (dyno dynamics) and car did 499 when cool at dyno jet in same weather.

Replace Jonhson CM30 Sh*t with Meziere WS136P. Then let me know how it goes with you, It will also be better if you go splitting like some of the guys around.
I have not gone splitting and I am happy with normal set up, PLM HE + Meziere.
I have used the 3 pumps (Bosch, CM30, and Meziere) I can tell you Mezeire is the best.

Sounded like 3rd. If you want some quick free hp, dyno in 4th. You'll be surprised.
Sorry in advance if it was 4th. Just pickup up SO fast..it was wild.

with fittings will be around 195 USD and you will need 2 fittings 3/4 in each one for about 23 USD per one fitting. You may find it cheaper by few bucks somewhere but does make a big difference. Here is a link for it. Remember you will need the fittings.

Just wired the CM30 pump to run all the time and added water water to boost the coolant. I am cruising at 80mph in 80 degree weather at 96 IAT. 3rd gear pull was at 133 which is better than before.
