Wheel Build - PICS

wheels being fitted on the car. Wanted to see how aggressive we can go on the lips both front and back. Ended up with a 4.5" on the rear and 2.5 on the front. As well see what type of tire we will run. Should be completed with in the next couple weeks. Will post pics once done. Ended up with CF centers and polished step lip.Undecided what Im doing regarding the calipers and rotors (color). 20x9 & 20x10.5

WOW! Shawn way to step up brother these things look killer. Can you take some pics from top of fender and also from back on the rears? I want to see how much they come out if anything. These things are killer. I love the step lip you got going, that is the only way to roll in a BENZO.

I will ring you tomorrow all day with family today.

Carbon wrapped or actual carbon fiber making up the center?

CF Centers

No its a pattern(CF) that the wheel is dipped in to. I have a company that does the process. Its the same process that is used to make up your interior pieces which are most likely a wood grain.

Are you going to run stretch tires? I'm running a 9.5 front with a 245 tire.

Stretch

Yes a little stretch all the way around. I am running a aggressive offset. But was just speaking to Gorman and we are possible bumping them out to a 9.5 in the front to bring them out alittle further. Going to have to pull and roll fronts and backs. Exactly what I am looking for. I would like to see a profile pic of the car to see how you are sittin

These are the most recent pics I have. Had 9" fronts with a 235 tire in the pics. Have since replaced the lip so now at 9.5" on a 245. I'm also running a 10.5" rear on 265 tire.

Front fenders are shaved/slight pull. Rears are rolled/slight pull.

It's more a push from the inside towards the outside of the lip. I've done that to all 4 corners on my Evo VIII, it made room for 275/35/18 tires all around!

For a 9.5 width wheel you def want to do 225 at most if your rim is out as much as the back one is from what I saw on the pic you sent me. You also want to go 245 in the back.

Thank me later when the car looks like mine's evil twin.

With the amount of room our suspension travels a 275 is out of question for this setup. This is not a race friendly wheel setup, this is a poke/stretch setup requiring for the side wall to be stretched enough so that where the contact patch of the tire starts it sits inside the fender wall.

Some fender rolling is required as well both front and back so that the fenders don't get any damage.

CF CENTERS-POLISHED STEP LIPS

Guys I appreciate the feedback. Working out the final details on the rear inner barrel size. Possible going to squeeze another 1/2 inch on the rears and go with 11"s. as well 1/2 in the front for a 9.5". We will see how much clearance I have on the inside of the quarters, and what I will get out of pulling, rolling combo. The next decision that has to be made is the evosport hub and caliper color. I have my mind pretty much made up. Which I will keep to myself, however if you have any suggestions I will like to here them. I want to make the CF centers stand out.

If you're willing to pull your fenders, definitely go 11" rear. I still say go 10" front. Add the extra 1/2" to the lip, and not barrel. Don't forget you can always flare your fenders.

I directed kamil to this forum when he was going the stretch and poke route:

Lotsa pics, and you'll definitely get a lot more love on that forum than here.
