And a nice upgraded steering wheel! The rotors from the dealer are around 100 bones and Tirerack sells the low dust pads. Not sure I would call this a deal for brakes! http://www.evosport.com/product/prod...VO.BRK.M5K.R03

Beautiful car...congratulations! Sounds like a lot time is going into the paint correction process. Do you mind sharing how much you are paying for the job?

The package 3 goes for $550-800 depending on the condition. When I get to my computer I will post a link to his before and after works. Literally looks better than new.

And I just received this message a few minutes ago. I couldn't ask for better service!:
OK, general consensus on the car as it sits:
Every interior feature works, and if you're not sure what the car has exactly, I'll list it now and so forth
-Upgraded steering wheel seems to function properly button wise, only thing I need to confirm is the "up-down" button for the radio controls
-Heated and cooled seats, both function properly
-All power adjustments work on both seats
--The passenger seat however has a wobble to it, will see if there is a loose or missing bolt
-Heat and AC work, dual zone climate control
-Sunroof tilts and slides perfectly, no noises or clicks
-Has radar/laser cruise control, will test functionality when I take it out.
-Self raising suspension raises and lowers the car properly
--I think the car has had the lowering bolts done, there are 10mm bolts that adjust the height arms of the car, will confirm later. It looks to sit lower than stock to me
-The rear sunshade rises and stows away as it should
-Rear headrest release works on all three headrests
-Engine start button in the shifter column works as it should
-Sound system working properly, no fuzz or disorientation in sound
-Ambient lights are all lit
-Instrument lights all light up
-All exterior lights light up
-Self leveling bi-xenons work on both sides and turn with the steering wheel properly
--headlights are a little hazed, will take care of that
-One of the wheels has a noticeable chip in the pocket of the spokes, not sure if it occurred from tie down straps or not, would be my guess.
- Window tint is a little less than desirable quality, there are some bubbles in the rear window and it is starting to have a purple fade to it. I can have it redone for $180 with a lifetime warranty tint by one of the best shops on the east coast. I know the owners and installers personally. Not a pressing issue obviously but its something im sure you would want removed or redone down the line.
- Only other thing that you may know the answer to is if the oil has been changed recently and what not, we'll gladly do it before you make your trip home from here.
No abnormal sounds coming from the engine, aside from the brakes and one tire issue - visually everything else checks out.
What I would like to do now, is take it out and see how it drives, it has no gas in it so I'll take care of that. We'll get some miles in and make sure there's no hesitation, cruise control works, powerband is smooth, no rattles and so forth, maybe even do some data logging if possible to make sure the car is running up to par. I'd also like to take it either to my buddies at Fabspeed or Porsche and have them really go over the car and let me know if there's anything needing attention for the sake of you not having any issues with it when it leaves here. Wont be any charge for this, they're close friends or owe me a favor haha not that I'm ever one to hold it over anyone's head. Anyway, that's where we stand on the car, let me know what you think and what you're OK with!

Looks like you picked up a nice ride, wish you lot's of luck with it.
Have your detailer take a couple of photos of the engine compartment and we can tell you if it has any performance mods. In particular,a shot of the crank pulley, throttle body, and exhaust manifolds.

Car looks great. That is awesome you have people that are experts at perfecting the paint on the car. We have a guy that is insane with the paint cleaning treatments here in Atlanta. Takes a couple of days and when you get your car back, you don't want to even put the car on the road because of the elements !!!
Can't wait to see the after pics when you get it all cleaned up !!
Congrats.

Story: I rode along with a friend yesterday and he had to go pick up some paperwork at a Mazda dealer. I asked what the cheapest 4 door they had on the lot was and it was a '98 Camry for $4k. They asked if I would be financing, lol. I said nope, just need a cheap second car to beat on. They asked me what I had and when I told them I had an E55, they were practically in shock. Their sales manager was in a ratty old early '90s 3 series. Friend drive me to the bank in his Evo and I returned with $4k... Like a boss. Treated like a King after that. One guy told the finance lady "ask him what his other car is!"

What part of Cincy?? I work at the Land Rover dealer off Ronald Reagan Highway. My 55 is put away for the winter months, but stop by if you think about it! I'd love to see the paint When Oakes gets done with it!
