Official Suvneer E63 Front Conversion Thread
Gary shipped mine yesterday and I'll be getting it next week. http://m3forum.net/m3forum/images/smilies/woohoo.gif
Lets see your e63 conversion fellas :y  |
all i know is that its going to look sick on your car :)
|
|
what are people using as internal bumper supports and the mounts? the E55 ones don't fit unless you hack the crap outta them. The E63 ones fit fine and run ~$100 for the three
|
Can't wait to see the conversion on your ride. It's going to look KILLER!

I should do this conversion as well!!! All of these E55s are going to look hot. But going with "go" before "show".
|
Car's at the shop as we speak. . .should get it back in a week or two (considering it's the holidays and I expected it to be down for a month - I'm pretty pleased:). Besides the conversion, I got a couple of other little visual "tweaks" taking place:naughty:. . .pics once I get it back!!!!!
|
I should have mines done in a month or so also...Pics when completed
|
Thank you for the thread and I am very excited to see the pictures !!
|
Either folks are embarrassed the paint does not match or they are still on the floor from a great deal and the transformation. PICS????? :)

i'm in no rush either, waiting in my Wald LED insert adapter to come in from Japan:wootrock:
|
My car is currently waiting for some parts to get back on the road. Probably won't get to the conversion till march. :(
|
top notch quality and service, I do have second thoughts doing this in the winter time...

This conversion should be labeled transformation as it takes a older look and makes it look modern.

Love the black fins! Black fins make the fins stand out more and look more 3D.
Matte black fins can be another option for you guys, too. |
Are you converting the whole car to white ?

1 pic for now :D

Mine is painted...but I thought the bumper truly was "bolt-on" so I hadn't ordered the lever & three mounts. Waiting on them.
Also...the guys doing mine noticed there was no hardware to attach the mesh to the new bumper and they're having some minor difficulty with the "fitment" of the chrome strips for the inserts. They ended up having to run out and get some nuts and bolts for the mesh inserts. Just hoping it turns out all good. Hopefully it'll be on by the end of the week. |

dang black fins huuu i wana see how this turns out... white FTW
|
Guys, I can take pics of mine, but running mesh on the inside of the fins looks HOT. Just make sure it matches the front mesh pattern. I painted mine the GT-R dark grey ,same as my front mesh as I got away from black.
|
That looks sick. I really like the taped off black pieces ala Black Series. Nice touch!

Wow. Very nicely done.
|
Wow this is a great looking mod!
I see alot of E55 owners doing this mod, does this fit on an 07 E350 Sport in the same manner? It just so happens I ran over something yesterday and it cracked my front bumper in three places, and I lost my passenger fog light assembly & center lower mesh cover, so I was researching this topic and I ran across this thread. If I have to replace my front bumper anyway, I figure why not get this one? I think my 07 has the updated front grille already from the looks of the pics. Anyone chime in and confirm that this kit works with an 07 E350 sport? Thanks in advance, I love this thread and all the pics! Mine is white as well so it really helps. |
Very nice! I like the color alot.:)
|
Man...that is AWESOME LOOKING...:bow:I just bought this friggin car, completed a full maintenance and tune, bought new wheels...now I have to buy a new front end? Crap...and i thought I was done with the modding...I sense my wallet starting to evaporate sometime soon:D

Done...need to clean her up...but as soon as I rolled up and saw it sitting for me I was lilke "DAMN!"
The guys that did the work actually commented on how well the bumper fit ("usually aftermarket crap sucks as far as fitting right...but that bumper...well...damn...went right on"). Seriously... very cool to hear and to be able to pass on as my car was sitting next to a W212 where the bumper had just been done when I picked it up. By the time I got home it was dark so this is the only pic so far. I immediately rolled it up on my rhinos and put gary's cf lip on as well.... WHICH was ALSO better than the last 2 211 lips I had! Attachment 409133 Attachment 409134 I'll clean the car tomorrow and take some real pics with the Nikon D. Once again, VERY happy with this package. VERY. My only complaint is that if you reuse your factory headlight washer flaps...they don't sit perfectly until they get pressure (wind or finger). Use the ones that ship with the bumper. |
In for more pictures!!!
|
Pullejo- Looks awesome! Don't forget, if you want to sell your original bumper/strips I'm local and can pick up.
|
looks great :y
|
I bought a non-PDC version from Gary last week. His next shipment should be in by end of next week, he tells me. Can't wait. I'll make sure I take pics of everything, before and after for this thread.
It will be going on a white 07 E350 Sport, so it should be true bolt on. |

Some decent pics. In some of them...the car is in off road mode (lifted) because I'd been out and about...speed bumps are NOT my friend.
I rinsed it off and went to Home Depot...and got two "nice car man"'s. (one at car wash...one at home depot). :) Looks awesome I think. Attachment 409135 Attachment 409136 Attachment 409137 Attachment 409138 Attachment 409139 Attachment 409140 |
Looks awesome man.. Damn talk about 4x4 lol
|
Looks amazing! Can't wait to get mine. I need to get that lip ordered as well.
|
Looking good, love the East coat home designs. Lower it just a tad, those lips get tore up too low.
|
Dang...that is really prudy...Great combination of colors too!
Where did you get the grill, aftermarket, or painted stock? |
Grille...eBay... $145
I'm actually lowered (links) but you can't really tell on my damn 30 degree driveway. I have to constantly hit the "lift" button or else my dumps (right after my headers) hit every damn speed bump in this town....and their are a LOT of them. Even in lifted mode I still hit some. And yeah...southeast houses...lots of red brick. It's funny because the rest of the country doesn't have all the red clay we do so only really high end houses have it. Not the case here.... And the fact that the cost of living is a joke. My office is in San Francisco but I live here.... My house in the bay area or valley would be redonkulous. +1 for Atlanta! |
Hot damn!

Is color is that? I love it.

So i noticed through the lower front center grill you can see the ground, what is with that? Also, the front passenger headlights deffinetly have a larger gap on the grill side as opposed to the drivers headlights.

Just received mine a few minutes ago, here are some unboxing pics...
I will be going to the body shop later this week so if any of you want more specific close-ups pre-install of the product let me know before it goes. This is the box that was delivered. Was shipped last Thursday and I got it Wednesday of the following week, CA to FL. The box is odd shaped and huge, but it is super light! Lighter than a gallon of water, imho. http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25124631.jpg http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25124850.jpg http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25124857.jpg Accessories were in separate boxes http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25124908.jpg Corners were reinforced with foam http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25125219.jpg Back side http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25125225.jpg There's a sheet of plastic covering the whole bumper, and inside, the bumper is wrapped in bubble wrap. http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25125400.jpg For those of you wanting to put LEDs or different colored fog bulbs, the kit comes with these installed... just so you know what size to buy, it is a H7. Easier to have it put in during bumper install I suppose... http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25125803.jpg http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25125927.jpg This bumper is so light I can almost lift it with my index finger without straining http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-25130343.jpg Can't wait for my body shop appointment to get this puppy painted and installed! |
Visited the car yesterday at the shop...
http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-31144539.jpg I showed up unannounced and walked into the bay. At the time, the bumper had been painted and assembled. The manager was with the guys pointing out paint imperfections that still needed further buffing/sanding. I like this type of attention to detail :) http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-31144900.jpg Fog light & grille, along with chrome strip, all included by Suvneer, installed perfectly. http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-31144931.jpg Clips that hold in the front grille were also supplied by Suvneer in the kit. http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-31144947.jpg The bumper support (black plastic piece) and the energy absorbers (foam blocks) transferred from my original bumper. The shop had to trim some pieces to fit the E63 bumper, as you can see by around the side vents due to the shape difference of the two bumpers. http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...1-31145001.jpg I didn't get to see it on the car yet but I asked them how the fit was for an aftermarket bumper like this. He told me that he was very surprised that the fit was so perfect, and that most aftermarket bumpers that he comes across are "incredibly rough" and need a lot of work to fit & finish correctly. He concluded by saying that this "is probably the highest quality aftermarket bumper he has seen". This made me extremely happy! I pick up the car later today, will post pics of the finished job here. |
looks great! :y

The headlights are original, part of the Premium 2 package (HID projector lights and keyless go). Car is a 07 E350 Sport with P2 package. So the grille is already facelifted and fits this bumper. I admit it looks sort of out of place on a non-AMG car, so the next thing I'm going to do is lower the car and then put some 20's on there :) Lowering will require new springs as the 350 does not have airmatic and is not computer adjustable like you AMG folks :) |

Did you buy any mounting accessories or your bodyshop just did everything for you ?
The bumper support and foam blocks transferred from my OEM bumper, these are not included with the kit. Some trimming was required but looked simple enough. I would assume that mine was a bit easier to transfer since my bumper was a facelifted 07. I can't say for sure if these things will transfer without much modification from anything before 07, though. I specifically asked the shop manager to pay attention to any issues encountered while fitting this bumper so I can give you guys some honest feedback, and here's what he detailed out for me: 1. The fog light power connectors that are supplied with the kit's fog lights don't "snap lock" into the OEM cable as they are supposed to. You know how in OEM, two cables fit together and there is a plastic piece that is supposed to snap in to lock the two together? Well the one with this kit doesn't seem to fit up to the OEM locking pin, so the body shop just reinforced them with zip ties. Not a big deal, I don't think they will ever come apart being that they are fog light connectors, but I did ask him to be as specific and nit-picky as possible. 2. The clips that are supplied with this kit to attach the front center mesh grille (seen in one of my pics of the bumper painted pre-install in a previous post), in his opinion, were not sufficient to securely hold the grille in place, and were quite flimsy. They simply used OEM clips instead, which they had in stock at the shop. Again, not a big deal, but it was an observation. 3. There were some rough edges when the bumper came out of the mold (as do most aftermarket bumpers, I assume). They called this 'flashing'. These things needed to be sanded down smooth before painting began, as you can imagine. There were some, but not much, and definitely better than most other aftermarket kits they have come across. Overall, like I said in a previous post, the bumper is probably the highest quality aftermarket one my body shop has seen come through their shop, and they kept telling me how other bumpers (me mentioned cheap BMW M conversions) that come off the internet are so horrible they sometimes don't even fit at all, and require hours and hours of shaping before it can even be test fitted. They told me that they were skeptical at first when I told them I wanted to go this route, but when I brought the bumper to them, and they started working on it, they were relieved and surprised at the fit and finish compared to others. Kudos to suvneer on this! My body shop is The Body Werks in Daytona Beach FL. They did a full repaint/restore on my SLK32 AMG a year ago and are the MB dealer recommended body shop in the area. Price wise, I paid $720 for paint and install, including labor and parts in straightening out whatever was bent on the radiator from hitting that stupid raccoon that cracked my original bumper, which started this whole ordeal. So I couldn't precisely tell you how much of that was for the bumper and install only... I would assume somewhere around $500, as I see about $200 in parts on my invoice. I hope this helps you guys who are looking for the details on this kit and the install process. |

My car has the sport package, not the AMG sport package. So the side skirts are smaller (shorter) and don't quite match up now. I'm going to need side skirts now, thanks... :) Hey suvneer, do you have E63 side skirts for sale? lol Here's the rear currently: http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/...2-06111403.jpg rear bumper will have to wait since it requires quad tip exhausts to fill in the cutouts |

I think the white looks great! I also do not think the front looks lower then the side skirts or the rear bumper. Looks perfect.

I love the review. Thank you for the kind words and support. I will source out some W211 AMG side skirts for you guys asap.

WHICH was ALSO better than the last 2 211 lips I had! http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2...o/19bcbd41.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g2...o/a40eabac.jpg I'll clean the car tomorrow and take some real pics with the Nikon D. Once again, VERY happy with this package. VERY. My only complaint is that if you reuse your factory headlight washer flaps...they don't sit perfectly until they get pressure (wind or finger). Use the ones that ship with the bumper. |

What I am saying is that in my opinion, it's sort of a hit-and-miss. It would be nice to take what someone else paid for a bumper paint and install, and expect that price anywhere you go, but that's just not the case with body shops. There's too much that can influence the price from one place to another. I am estimating labor for me was another $200-250. So for mine, $500-ish was what I paid for paint and install. The paintwork was indiscernible from the factory fender, down to the level of orange peel texture. I'm a hobby detailer, so I really pay attention to the paint condition of all my vehicles. I was quoted over the phone $500 to paint and install my side skirts, which I personally think is a bit on the high side, given that there's no lights or grilles to hook up and install like on the front bumpers, although the surface area of 2 side skirts should be almost equal to one front bumper. Hope this helps! |

As far as the lip - I just did it myself (used clips to hold in place - drill, insert bolts with nuts - good to go) Once I get the lip that's on Evolved 8's car from Gary and the headlight and foglight tint I order - I'm done. At that point I'm content and it's time to find another toy:) |
looks great! :y

^^ - Thank you guys - after I got home from that drive, got the headlight film in the mail - had to go out to dinner with the in-laws and all I could think about was getting home so I could see if I could do it. your welcome bro anytime... your rocking it very nicely :)
on a side note i wanted to ask you how you got the chrome blacked out on the fog lights... i think am going to wrap mine... |
I had them paint the surrounds when they did my front bumper. . .I would definitely recommend wrapping over painting, anything chrome that has paint on it is going to chip - if it's wrapped - don't need to worry about it (I already spotted a chip or two and it was just painted last month). . .when I get my window surrounds wrapped, I'll probably have them do my fog lights as well so I don't have to worry about it any more. . .

Front bumper to be delivered tomorrow...will take pics when it comes in!!
P.s. Pm'd ya about the side skirts =] |
To be clear on the extra parts needed, has everyone purchased these that have this bumper installed? My bumper and lip will be delivered in a few days.
Those parts being a different hood latch and some upper supports so there isn't a gap between hood and bumper if I remember right? I swear I read a post of M3toE55 listing like 3 parts and the part numbers for them a few pages back but have went through the thread like 3 or 4 times now and can't find it. I must be losing my mind. I saw a post by another member mentioning some foam stuff to glue to the bumper down by the undertray or something like that for a better look down there where you could possibly see through to the ground but this is not what I am talking about. |

Cool thanks, I already have the grill.
Just ordered the parts and they are actually cheaper for each part than what you have listed. The total was $76.80 for parts but then with shipping of $11.52 and $2 handling fee it came to $90.32 for the 4 pieces. |

How did everyone resolve the parktronic issue?
Can someone please chime in and help with part numbers. :y |
What do you mean by resolve? If you are talking about the holes well people would just have them filled in before and now the bumper is available without the holes.
|
Guys -
I need help. I have a 2006 E55 with parktronic and bought the e63 bumper with the holes. I also bought the brackets listed in this thread and others. My body shop is saying that with the new brackets the sensors are not mounting flush -- don't look right. I mentioned that some people pulled brackets off the old 55 bumper and they are going to try that. Any ideas ? Are they doing something wrong? THansk! |
Cut the brackets off the 63 bumper, you will need to trim the new brackets to fit in some areas so they sit flush, install and clip sensors in and your done!
|
e63 conversion
CAR IN SHOP E63 CONVERSION ON ITS WAY,HOPE IT COMES OUT AS GOOD AS SOME CARS IVE SEEN SO FAR.
|
The installing went to install the bumper and said he is missing hardware to install.. Can anyone help me out and where to get this? Thanks
|
Mines didn't come with any hardware either. You need the screws for foglight mounting and reuse the old bumper grill holders or order new ones.
|
What are the part numbers for the PDC brackets?

Some crappy cell shots will get some updated later this week.
Gary is awesome to deal with and will take care of you, very responsive great CS. the kit itself is great out of the box but would reccomend some finishing from your bodyshop of choice. I switched out the lower mesh for an oem piece as I preferrd the oem look vs what comes with the kit. I also went ahead an wrapped the chrome fog light rings in black vinyl. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7272/...ceb3ef38e2.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7259/...52e90cf734.jpg |

hard to say since i got some other work done at the same time. with the sensors I opted to epoxy on the brackets from my previous bumper with some minimal fab. not in so cal, in the sf bay area.

I have a question about the two pieces of foam, one on each corner of the bumper. Do these not get transferred over?
I haven't heard anyone say something about purchasing different ones or just not running them. I dropped the bumper off to be painted which was $332 then went to swapping but those two pieces of foam don't seem to fit on the new bumper insides. I bought the 3 oem E63 plastic pieces that were mentioned and part numbers listed earlier in the thread to go inside and it seems like the pieces of foam have a part to them that doesn't allow them to fit all the way in and get locked in to the bumper on the corners. I assume that most everyone had a body shop put the bumper on for them so they may not even know about this, but if anyone does know what you did about this I would appreciate it. I am about to just put the bumper on without them but it seems like it would make the bumper fit better since the back side of those foam pieces rest against the metal bumper of the car that is beind this new bumper cover. Here is a quick pic of the bumper ready to go on before I took the stock bumper off. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48...mporary-13.jpg |

Cool thanks, "Energy absorber" I guess is the term of what I need. I guess I can try trimming it first to make it fit and if not head on down to the dealer to see if they may have them in stock. Sucks I was just there earlier to buy a new center cap which I was surprised was only $18, didn't get raped bad at all on that part.
|
I didn't use the outer foam but trimmed the middle one to fit in the center of the bumper
|

The E55 foam pieces don't fit properly, the shape of them on the front side hits the inside of the bumper not allowing for the outter corner to pop in place beind that little "hook" sticking out from the black plastic bumper support. I actually shaved off a few of the parts of foam that protrude out and got it to sort of stay in place but when I went to put the bumper on it wouldn't slide all the way on the car correctly. I just said screw it and took it back of swapping the E55 bumper back on and am going to go get the correct foam pieces fo it to fit right. I don't feel like cutting stuff up more to try and rig it.
As for getting those corner foam pieces on though, all I did was slide the inside edge under that center suport and then with a little work got the outter corner behind that little lip/hook to hold the outside edge of the foam in place. Regarding an earlier post, I just bought some nuts and bolts with lock washers from Home Depot to bolt the fog lights in place and the grills. |

Ok, I played hell getting this bumper on, but finally got it done. I at first couldn't figure out why it wouldn't go all the way on. I trimmed the foam pieces some more and tried fitting again but still no go. I then got under the car and realixed the two connection points in the center of the bumper (the actual oem e63 plastic center piece I ordered that fits inside bumper) was hitting the Eurocharged heat exchanger not letting the bumper go back any farther. These were cut off on the original bumper to allow it to fit, so I simply cut those off all the way flush and then the bumper went on. A little fighting to get it lined up as good as I could and then a few bolts tightened and I was finished. Happy with the end product.

I finished my install over the weekend. I also left the chrome rings off because I'm undecided if I like the look with them off or on. I'm leaning towards the no-ring look.

A question for who did the conversion, how many of you also paint the hood in the same time ? or just the bumper only ?

Yea, you just have to take the car and bumper to the body shop and have them color match.
Can't wait to see the finished pictures, Eyceburg11! |

Question for those have already done the conversion.
Is it true that this Suvneer E63 replica bumper will only work with the Suvneer E63 front lips(I think there are two styles) but not any E63 front lips because the bottom part is slightly different than the real E63 bumper? Thanks. |
Your fitment looks better than others. Did other not use the supports or something. Tempted to get this... but I want 100% fitment.

How hard was it to remove / install yourself? Did you have it painted with them sampling from the car or just drop it off w paint code? |

Was the car ever in an accident? Maybe the hood needs some alignment work; either that or the bumper cover needs to come up a bit. Based on the side shots, you can see how the gap to the fender increases from rear to front. Looks like the front bumper cover is sagging or something. Love the face lift look when it's done right, but this one's not there yet.

side marker
So if I was to get the sunveer kit, does anyone know if the side marker trim is replaceable with one that has a lens? I need that to pass my safety inspections where I'm from.

Question for you all while I gather the remaining parts:
For the new upper grill where did you all get the small emblem/badge at the top of it? Who has installed HIDs in these fogs and what did you do to make it all fit properly? Lastly, how is the light output with HIDs in the fogs? |

I ordered the E63 front end conversion for my '05 E55 along with the CF front lip from Gary. The parts arrived quickly and safely with very good communication from him. I had the bumper cover painted by the body shop I've used for years and I installed it myself in about an hour or so. The CF lip took me about 45 minutes to install as I used pop rivets to hold it on which worked perfectly and secured it very tight against the bumper cover. Everything fit & aligned just right and I'm very happy with the outcome. Gary's service has been first rate and you can't go wrong with this conversion!

Okay guys here are some pics I took, its pretty easy to do this. You will need a hand tool or some sandpaper, going the manual way may take a while. I used a dremel.
Also the o-ring typically that comes with these adapters are too thick, so swap over the o-ring that came with the bulbs. You can buy these from the net or from me, you will have to mod them. Each fog light will be a little different and adjustments would have to be made with each housing I suspect, so I will leave it up to you to modify them. If you stop by my shop in Houston you are more than welcome to use my dremel, I would enjoy to shoot the **** with you as we do them. You can scoop these up from me for $13.50 for a pair or $15 a pair shipped. Also you may have to wait a week if I am out of stock. I usually only stock about 10 pairs, they are very slow movers in the Houston market for the shops I deal with. I have H7 HID bulbs also if you need them for $25.00 shipped, you can reuse your current HID ballasts. I have 3000k (yellow), 4300k, 6000k, 8000k, and 10000k. OK, I read all 13 pages, but I did not see a write up for fitting the E55 Parking sensors to the Gary Bumper. I know on the OEM (07+) you need to widen the holes and glue the sensors in. Does this bumper accept the sensors without modification?
. |
I have some better quality pics to share. I also installed a 5K HID fog light kit, and lowered the front end.
FWIW, the fogs are really bright and disperse light in every direction. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you are retrofitting a projector housing, or don't plan on using them with oncoming traffic. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2...D720/ry%3D480/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2...D720/ry%3D480/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2...D720/ry%3D480/ |

Looks very nice, and as I have always said: On coming traffic is highly overrated.
PS- What about the parking sensors!!! ???? . |
You can transfer your E55 PDC brackets from the old bumper to the new bumper. Just have the body shop to use industrial glue/adhesive. Thanks.

ALL,
I think I'm missing a reinforcement piece? It makes it seem like the bumper and fender liner aren't aligned perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks, - Zishan |

What did you guys do for the headlight washer covers if your E55 does not have washers. I purchased the conversion but my E55 does not have the headlight washer option and the e63 bumper conversion i bought has the washer holes and plates.

I see two options here: A.) Leave them be, and it will appear as if you have them with the E63 conversion bumper. You will just need to buy the springs, which take 2 seconds to install. B.) Have your bodyshop cover them before painting. I can't see it costing very much as the triangle/cover pieces are already provided. Just needs a little filler. *my non-expertise opinion |

Hey all, new to the site and this is my first post. A bunch of beautiful cars on the site. I've ordered my bumper from Gary and a new grill off of e-bay to give my 06 E-320 CDI a face lift after a little incident with a Bobcat bucket here on the farm. (ooops!) Great excuse to upgrade and cant wait. Will post pics of before and after. Gonna look sweeet! Gary, as well as all the posts on this thread were very helpful. I still have to order the "extras" not included with the bumper. I think I know what all I need to get and do, but insight from someone who has already done it is always welcome to make everything go smoothly.

It looks so sexy. Where do I find the garage floor like that?

Okay, I'm on parts.com ordering the needed bracket. I've got a 06 E320. Question is: will my front tray cover work with the bumper without a space showing, if not what is it on parts.com. Also, I was pretty sure that I would need the energy absorbing foam blocks since the E320's is not even close to the E63AMG. For the Suvneer bumper do I get ones with sports package, or without? I'm seeing Right block,Left block, Inner right, Inner left??? Help!!! what do I need to get. Don't want any probems once I get the car to the bodyshop and I want it done the right way. Do I need parts 11-13 or 11-15, sport or not (my 06 is not a sport). Thanks for any help. This is my cart so far:

Bumper has been on for a few weeks. Weather in Tennessee has been pretty cold and rainy. Finally got a quick wash in today as the car was pretty dirty and snapped some pics before the rain comes in tomorrow. All I could do was a quick wash, no detailing, nothing spectacular, but I did want to post the car up on this thread. Bumper looks great. Looking at getting some black headlights maybe and will do a complete detail and better pics when the weather is better.

Bumper looks great... not feeling the front grill though. A oem one or gloss black without the star would look much cleaner IMO. (whatever you prefer though obviously since its your car).
|
Thanks, I know where you are coming from, but I'm a little tacky, and wanted to take a differant route since I saw quite a few on here with the "cleaner look". Might need no get rid of the hood ornament to avoid the double bling.:wootrock:

I think you coined a new term of the "double bling" for the duplicate Stars lol :) I will refer to it as that from now on. |
What is the secret to switching the E55 for E63 hood latch pull? I feel like I am going to break the E55 one off trying to do the swap?
Thanks Nevermind, I found it. Here is how you do it on a C Class. Same process https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...cl-grille.html |
Just put in an order, super excited. Did you guys just paint the bumper straight away, since it's already in parts, or did you test fit first?

Always nice to know what someone really thinks, lol. The quality could be better, I'll admit. Tin foil though, is a little harsh. The good thing is it can easily be swapped out if I want to at some point and isn't as bad as spending 7k on a paint job you don't like or something. Your honest opinion is appreciated.

Long shot - but if any of you have extra parts from your conversion laying around, I'm looking for a driver's side [left side, here in the US] mesh fog light surround [for W211 E55 Bumper, 2005, no E63 conversion]. I figured this thread probably gets more play than the FS/WTB forum.

Anybody else loose one of the plastic chrome rings around the fog lights yet? I just noticed one of mine is missing.
|
Guys - I gotta give Gary props because he deserves them for his service. While I'm not super duper psyched about the fact that the rings are just glued on (Gary didn't design this conversion I'm sure)...his customer service cannot be topped.
I notified Gary of my missing fog light trim on Sunday...I had the new trim piece along with the mesh for at my house in Atlanta on Wednesday. That is top notch service that no one can argue with. Thank you Gary. Now...If I can just figure out what adhesive to use to get them to stay on!!!! (my driver side one was on the verge of falling off too) |
You are very welcome, sir!
You guys deserve the best! |
Bumper scrape earlier this week gave me the push to order the E63 bumper kit and CF lip from Gary today. Looking forward to install!

This may be a stupid question - What's the preferred way to eliminate the corner lamp wiring? Just leave it inside the bumper?

Just ziptie them inside the bumper, yup.

Just place them at the spot where you can reach easily so the work of changing a fog light bulb would be the same. |
Im sure my answers are in here somewhere, but I cant find them!
The chrome foglight trim rings-Glue them on? They dont snap on. Also, converting the new foglights to HIDs-Modify the housings to fit the bulbs? |
They are glued on. OEM doesn't sell the chrome rings individually.

Haven't seen any info about the pieces ordered from the dealer. There is nowhere to attach them on the new cover??
I just trimmed them & glued them to the cover with 3M windshield urethane. Was this the correct procedure? |
I used the three OEM E63 internal bumper supports (left, right, and center) and I just press fitted them into place onto the tabs on the inside of the Sunveer bumper. Everything lined up great, excellent fit. But should these internal supports have been glued to the inside of the bumper? The bumper feels secure.

The pics show you the originals actually have a place for the push pins to be install. The new cover does not. Also, the OEM inter supports I ordered (part # given to me by Gary),dont clip or push anywhere??? Look a the pics of them before I cut them. Maybe the Dealer send the wrong ones? |
Hi sc-c230, I ordered the three OEM E63 internal bumper supports from Parts.com (left, right, and center), part numbers: 2118801003 (R), 2118800903 (L), and 2118800703 (center). There are small tabs sticking up on the inside of the Suvneer bumper that line up with corresponding slots on all of the inner supports. The center inner support has two slots on each side that clip over the part of the bumper between the city lights and headlights. The inner supports all "snapped" into place when pushed firmly. I'm still wondering if they should have been glued into place like you did though? Do you have the same part numbers as me?

Look at my 3rd & 4th image above. They are of the dealer installed parts on the new bumper cover before I cut them. Notice the bottoms of them clip no where & I couldnt do anything with them. So instead of leaving them flapping in mid air,I cut & glued them.:nix: |
Take a look at post 312 of this thread. There are pics of these brackets that are to be glued to the bottom inner corner of the bumper cover that provide attachment points for the ends of the inner supports that are left dangling. The part numbers for these brackets are 211-885-05-16 and 211-885-06-16. Well, I didn't use these and the ends of my inner support brackets are loose as well. I will probably just cut and glue them like you did.

Looks great. The only problem I'm having is the HID kit I bought wont work in the fogs. I modified the housings, bulbs fit great. I used the inline capacitors, just like I did for the Low beams(they work great),fog lights wont come on at all??? Only difference between the kit for the Low beams & the Fogs-Fogs are the slim ballast. Anyone have any tips for me? |
Hey guys, getting mine done right now. Should be done soon. Where can I find the black grille without the star that many of you have?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2006-W211-E-CLASS-ALL-BLACK-SHINY-GRILLE-E500-E320-E55-E350-FITS-FACTORY-/141004534455?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d48672b7 Your other option is to get the stock grille painted by your local body shop |
FYI...in case anyone is confused that link is for E55.
Same company sells the E63 from time to time in black but is currently out of stock. They received a big shipment that was labeled black but was actually chrome. The chrome is cheaper. I got one and dipped it. Don't really like the matte look on the upgraded front end. Desperate for a pre painted black E63 grille without the logo!!!! Seems painting the chrome one never lasts as long as the factory painted ones. And yes, I lost both chrome trim rings within two hours of completion of the upgrade. DAMN! |
Any of you all selling your old bumpers? What are you getting for them? Mine has a fresh paint job on it, so should be able to get a pretty penny for "an authentic AMG bumper" that someone with an AMG badge on their E350 would buy.
My bumper/spoiler shipped Thursday, but tracking info says it won't be here until the 8th. I could walk the trip from San Diego to LA and back in less than half that time, with the damn bumper. |
Shop recommendations in 626 area?
Anyone from the 626 area (San Gabriel Valley) had this done? Looking for a shop recommendation.
The body shop I've been to in the past quoted me $1300 and they won't mess with the fog lights if its not plug&play. :smash: |

Either way, that body shop sounds dumb. My body shop remarked at how amazingly well this bumper fit for an aftermarket one. It was a snap. |
Planning to buy a eurotek e63 diffuser... Do you know if this diffuser will be able to fit your e63 rear bumper... And price on rear bumper
|
Bumper fitment was great. Try Maaco on getting it painted, they can do a factory match (base coat + coast coat) for about $250 per bumper. Installation was easy, don't pay to get it installed.
Yes the fog lights are slightly different, but still fits , I used zip ties as well. |
If the diffuser fits the real E63 rear bumper then it will fit my E63 rear bumper. Thanks.
$540 shipped. |

I'm still considering this upgrade amg front and side skirts from Garry, but it's the $1,100 cost of the dealer rear wagon bumper that's getting me 😡
Would love to sell my old bumpers first , 07-08 face lift ANYONE INTERESTED? |
OEDiscountParts.com has the rear bumper for $990, but I assume the shipping would make it equal the dealer. :(

There is no telling what they are doing with their online catalog. Give them a call. They are pleasant to buy from.
|
Does any one have a side by side of the 55 front end next to this conversion?
|
Can anyone confirm if you need to buy new foam re-enforcements (energy absorbers) for this or if you can use the ones from the e55 bumper?

I bought new foam. Saves time from trimming, was relatively cheap (70 bucks) and probably better reinforcement if you get in a collision.
|
thanks for answering the question for me, sir!
You can trim the old ones or get the new ones :) |

Probably rather just pick it up from the dealer. It would have been nice to ask them some questions about parts needed for this amg upgrade. |
Odd. I've always had pleasant dealings with them.
Have you tried parts.com? |
You can try call Alan at Legend Import. 626-291-2828. Legend has deep discount with MBZ. Make sure you tell him Gary @ Suvneer sends you. They don't do shipping but I can help them ship.

cool - i kept it on as well. I may post some pics of my install cause it may be helpful for others looking to do this upgrade. The hardest part for me was getting those "clamps" on that hold the bumper trim on the sides. Outside of that it want too hard.
Also for those that have questions on the parts. Make sure you get all three of the pastic supports, as well as the lower side supports. Also at min I think it is required to get the middle new absorber. |

Any help would be great since I'm doing the install this week. When I put the fog hid kit in my w210 the ESP/BAS lights came on dash when first installed but went away after about 2-3 mins of driving. Good luck |

Waiting on my bumper, but pretty sure there are h11 bulbs and you can just order a plug & play hid kit (h11)

I spent the extra money and bought a CAN/BUS compatible HID (H7) kit.. It works if I apply 12V direct, but will not even flicker when connected to car.
The ECU says F^CK OFF I did not try the bulbs in the housing since the kit became a paperweight, but I am curious: What are others doing? Who has this working? I know there are bulb adapters and HID kits that work, but taking the guess work out would be AWESOME.... |
Spoke to Gary on the phone and was told there H11, as my oem fogs are (cornering fog lamps) but I guess I won't be sure until I receive the bumper cover.
I will update!!!

Purchased my 2004 E500 w/ AMG package that had been wrecked(looks much worse than it really was, no frame damage just body parts)
Repaired, and used Gary's E63 front end conversion. I was very pleased with the results and think it turned out great. Let me know what you guys think, thank you. Btw, just so nobody judges that I'm "spoiled", yes I am a 19 year old college student, and bought this and repaired completely on my own. https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...1&d=1381789493 https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...1&d=1381789528 https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...1&d=1381789572 |

So what's the final word on those 3 inner supports - clip in, glue in, or what? Any install tips/need-to-know-facts about fitment/installation before I pull the trigger on this? Getting real tired of my 55 front end :P
And what's this talk of zip ties on the white wagon that was posted? |
The zip ties "lol" I brought it up because I figured they hold a black cover over the 2 sides under the center mesh and thought they where there just to keep the back ground blacked out behind the center mesh grill if car is other then black. But at the end of the day I left them there on my black wagon because they don't hurt anything and would be a waste to remove them.
As for the supports you will use you old clips the hold your supports in and you can also weld them down[basically a heat them up] or JB WELD. Really no big deal at all or just pick up some more of those clips that you take off your supports if needed at all. Good look and bumper is 200% on the money !!! Thanks to Gary/Gary your the man for this one!!!!

"IF" the bumper you guys have use the same exact fitment of OEM E63 foglights, I have the pieces that you need to plug and play. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...621774a06d.jpg I have the real bumper and barely did the HID foglights conversion two weeks ago (I got tired of the LED fogs). No cutting of wires, no resistors, no gluing/sealing, etc. Just straight up mounting of the ballast, and plug and play of the bubs. Might be hard to tell but the 6000k fogs match the 6000k headlights. http://i61.tinypic.com/wbz5s1.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/2n9f474.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/fv8i2w.jpg |

What does everyone use if they don't have the headlight washer option? epoxy or a oem spring to hold the tabs down? if so what kind? also what's recommended on the chrome fog light trim 3m tape or epoxy
|
Oem spring, or have a body shop fill over covers with bondo.
For some reason the chrome rings on mine didn't fit quite right, so I just left them off. |

Just got in my bumper and grill from Gary what great and speedy service. Upon opening I noticed the grill has a spot in the top center for an emblem. Does anyone have the dealer PN for that, also what are you guys doing as far as the emblem on the hood I want to avoid it looking dumb from having 2 emblems less than 6 inches away from each other so will most likely shave the hood emblem but are still undecided. Thanks in advance

I can now pretty much from a picture tell you if it's real or fake even if the car has facelift mirrors and what not. I can tell if it's OEM or not just by looking at it and that's definitely not good. I'm looking for OEM bumpers for sale at a reasonable price but they're so rare here. |
There are 2 versions of the Suvneer bumper; v1 & v2. I don't know the difference, just seen it mentioned on the board.
|
I am still selling the OEM SPEC bumpers.

By the way I wasn't trying to bring your product down, just trying to see if it's the same. Clearly it's a great product seeing as there are hundreds of people who have done the conversion and are happy with it. I'm just a massive perfectionist. Believe me, life is HARD for me because of this :D |

How much would OEM spec W211 E63 bumper would cost + shipping to Australia? I am considering binning the E63 front bar i bought locally as its not OEM spec and nothing from the OEM bar fits. specifically front diffusers.
|
Xpression, I would highly recommend the Suvneer bumper. I just installed one on my car a week ago and it really good. I have a hard time figuring out the difference and I've looked quite a bit comparing the two sides by side.
There are differences, but it's the kind that even a pro will be fooled just standing looking at it. Fitment however was perfect oem for mine. If I was doing this again however, I would buy the bumper foam support from the dealer just from for my own peace of mind |
|
thanks for that Kponti, i will wait and see how much it will be all up.
It definitely seems like the OEM spec one looks bigger then the cheap "look a like" that i have and gets sold here in the land of OZ. |

Hi ,
i converted e270 2003 front end to e63 facelift.(bumper and grille) Problem is the bonet opening handle is too short. Can i just use this part from facelift : https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...9b8ee14a7d.jpg or i need the whole mechanism ? Thank you. |

Hi Gary,
I'm loving these kits. I emailed you. |

O MAN that looks sooooo hot ^^^^
I just ordered the same setup from Gary. Gary is an absolute delight to do business with, I will post up the entire story after i'm done fixing my car. Still in the shop and i'm waiting on bumper and parts. |
What are you guys paying for paint on just the front bumper? So tempting!
|
Finally getting around to this. Gloss black grill will get here on Monday.
http://i65.tinypic.com/2mgmgi0.jpg |
Anyone have any problems with the bumper not going back all the way? Due to the larger heat exchanger, I've already ground off the tabs in the middle of the bumper. When I put it on, I really have to push to get the plastic hook into the front of the fender and the back of the bumper is still short by about ¼" on both sides?
|
At the time I did the bumper ,I was running the stock exchanger . I was very happy with the fit of the conversion. I will be upgrading the heat exchanger soon though. Which exchanger are you running ? I'll be interested to see just how much you have to trim for when I do mine.
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...58187e4fe8.jpg |
Fabtech. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it is too large for a good fitment.
|
Where's it hitting?
|
Couldn't find a point of contact. I was able to get a second pair of hands to help me push it into place while I put the bracket on. It's been sitting on top of my other car for 8 months since I bought it used, so maybe it deformed a little?
|

Is this a bumper that you purchased from here? or somewhere else? I only ask because you may have a non 100% OEM spec copy. (those are actaully quite smaller and narrow) I had one and i could not get it to fit because the heat exchanger would foul against it. i ended up trimming the 2 tabs from the center plastic support and also grinded ALLOT of the bottom of the bar as it was hitting the HE. if i tried to force it on then the bar would look deformed and the headlight jets flap would not shut completely because of the torsion pressure. Since then i ended up buying a 100% OEM spec bumper and installed it yesterday and even with the huge Aftermarket HE that i got, it fit fine, its just touching the HE. i still had to grind off the middle support tabs because the E63 never had a supercharger so they were able to utilize those middle tabs. Best way to tell if its a 100% copy or not is buy observing the size of the grill that's around the fog lights., and the placement of the center grill. The non OEM copy has much smaller grills (also the grills are a different look and finish) I'll take photos and show you. |
I purchased the bumper used from a member on here. I'm not really sure if it's OEM, Suvneer or other.
|
The car look tight. What headlights are you running if you don't mind me asking? That's my exterior mod that I want to do.

Hey Gary, would you happen to know the part number for the chrome bezel that surrounds the left/drivers side foglight? Mine fell off and I am not sure if this is sold separately or has to be purchased with the side mesh?

My E63 Conversion. Shout out to Gary and every converts on this thread
Hello everyone,
I stumbled upon this thread and after seeing all the amazing transformations, I started hunting for a W211 to convert. Thankfully I found a good one several weeks ago - 2006 E500 with 50k miles in mint condition. As a novice when it comes to mods, I am so grateful to Gary for his guidance every step of the way. This thread was a great source of information and I appreciate every one of your contributions. Without further ado, here is my conversions. Please ignore the crappy cell phone pics. First some before pics.... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c33b255486.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...61122afb7b.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...8e0fe7266b.jpg Now some after pics... https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...b08acd2e58.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...80fb62c391.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...a97277828c.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...791e56a332.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...18678af773.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...6a79dd9ee9.jpg There you have it guys. Thank you all for making this happen. Here is where I could use your advise. I really like having the big star logo on the front grille as opposed to the OEM grilles and can't stand the small logo on the grille since I already have one on the hood. I have tried a white and a black grille and still not totally satisfied. Which below do you prefer or do you have a better suggestion? Thanks in advance. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...d1e074694.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c0115defa.jpeg |
Black grill looks a ton better, but I'm still not a fan of the large emblem. I think of this when I see it.
http://www.themoderndaypirates.com/p...flava-flav.jpg |
Lol. Thanks for the feedback HeissRod. I think I prefer the black better too and will go without the star only if I can find an OEM or OEM fit grille that does not have the small logo on top or the cut out for it.
The alternative will be to go for the OEM grille and then return the flat hood emblem to the standing star. Not really sure I want to do that either as it gives the car a dated look. Decisions, decisions lol. Where are folks getting their black grilles anyway? Not willing to part with almost $500 on the E63 grille sold by mboemparts.com. On a side note, I like your wheels. What size are those? |
I got my black E63 grill from eBay and it does not have an emblem on it.

Hi would it be possible to send this kit to England? If so how much would it be? And also is there anything else I need to get to do the conversion? Thank you for any help :y
Also the cars are looking amazing!!! Well done all of you :y |
Yes my carrier gives good rate shipping oversize item to UK. Please email me your city postal code.
gary@suvneer.com Thanks. |
What did you guys average paying for this conversion? All parts, paint, and labor? This is something I'm looking do.
|
long shot here, but is there any chance that anyone has a black painted e63 bumper they would want to sell? My current bumper broke this winter, and it would be much nicer to just have one I could swap out quick.

Fabtech. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it is too large for a good fitment.

The bare min, you will need to make it bolt on is
211-887-03-27 Pull For Hood Latch 211-880-09-03 Inner Plastic Support 211-880-10-03 Inner Plastic Support 211-880-07-03 Center Inner Plastic Support This method you can trim and fit the E55 Energy Absorbers aka Foam Inserts If you don't want to trim your E55 foam inserts and get the perfect fitment right off the bat then you need these. 211-885-13-37 Impact Absorber Center 211-885-15-37 Impact Absorber Left 211-885-16-37 Impact Absorber Right But if you want to go all out i would also get these 211-885-05-16 211-885-06-16 ^^ these attach to the inner plastic supports and provide an attachment for the inner wheel well. I personally order them all, the cost wasn't too bad, but this way its a perfect fitment and will be reinforced all over the bumper. 211-885-15-37 211-885-16-37 211-885-05-16 211-885-06-16 Thank you |

Would anyone know if we are able to turn off the bumper lights in the corner of the bumper, with the STAR/DAS system after the e63 conversion has been installed on our E55s?

Thanks again, Gary! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...be5956cc6a.jpg |
Love the car WideRide.
I know that there are no bumper lights on the E63 oem or aftermarket. I've had mine done since last year from Gary. However the E55 does. I am trying to find out if the light can be disabled with DAS instead of just leaving the bulb in the socket behind the bumper. When the bulb is removed the light error on the dash comes on. |
My bad man.
You have a good question there, then. I just left the bulbs in the socket and tucked them. |

You have a good question there, then. I just left the bulbs in the socket and tucked them. Yeah that's my main concern, I had my bumper off the other day, and I thought let me see how hot it gets. It was burning to a point that its not really safe. I've seen some ppl use resistors to not allow the dash light come on, but I rather just turn it off from the source, being the computer through DAS if possible. Just need more information before I take it to the stealership lol |

Where is the Central Gateway located? I remember seeing the ROW option, just don't remember what menu its under. Does it effect anything else if i set the car to ROW? I'm assuming by setting it to ROW i'm getting more options with the car with features vs the restricted north america? Sorry i'm still new to the ocean of information to do with STAR and i'm trying to be more hands on with this car. |
Does anyone know if the factory e63 front center grill will fit these bumpers?
|

Just wanted to take the time to thank Gary and his team for his awesome customer service. Ran into some shipping issues with my body shop and the carrier, but Gary was super quick to resolve the matter. On top of that the front end has a considerable crack down he center if the lower fascia which I brought up to Gary and again he compensated me a very fair amount which was paid to the shop for it to be repaired. Needless to say I am thrilled with the entire experience purchasing from Gary. Had we not had that shipping debacle I would have had the items delivered in less than 3 days! Quality and fitment is pretty good, but the key to a good and long lasting business is how you take care of your customers not just when they re checking out, but during the entire process.
I purchased the entire E63 body kit and front lip. Was on the fence about the side skirt extensions and rear diffuser but I think Imma pull the trigger considering how well this first purchase went. You da man Gary. Ring me up for the other 2 pieces! Attachment 363809 Attachment 363810 Attachment 363811 Attachment 363812 |
Email sent. Interested in a front bumper kit w/o PDC, facelift grill, CF front lip, and CF rear diffuser.

Hi everyone, I bought an E350 at the end of last year (Japanese import), from the pictures I see on here, I'm guessing it had the front bumper converted to the E63 bumper, but I had a bit of an incident... Since I was still not quite used to how much the car rolls forward after putting on the parking brake while on a slope, I accidentally rolled into the curb and broke the splitter/lip spoiler as well as the lower lip of the bumper. So I took the car to the panel beaters, and they said they would order the parts from Germany and give me a call when they get the part in.
Unfortunately, after issues with shipping caused the part to come 2 months later, the bumper they received was completely different.. The attachments were all different or something, and they had no idea what style my bumper was, so they ended up just taking off my bumper to get it fixed up, and these are the panel beaters recommended by the mercedes dealership! Not too sure what happened as I wasn't the one who took the car in and didn't see the bumper they ordered.. Maybe they just felt it would be simpler to fix the original on up instead of re-ordering it, I don't know.. Anyway, what I'd like to ask is: - is the style of my bumper the same as the ones on w211 E63s, - are you able to attach an OEM w211 E63 bumper to an E350, or are there different attachments (probably why they decided to just fix my original bumper), and - if I ever damage my bumper again, would I be able to order a replacement that fits my 2005 E350 from here, or direct the panel beaters in the right direction? I live in New Zealand. Also, just wondering if you guys could recommend a flat hood ornament conversion, as I see a bunch on eBay, but hear that sometimes they don't last very long. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated!! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...303a5756b5.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...30c7424f23.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...95f45afc2e.jpg |
Hey Jlai60 - that is a beautiful car. Nice buy.
To answer your question, yes it will work (and fit perfectly). I would recommend reading through this ENTIRE thread (from page one) and you will find everything you need. And working with Gary is great, so I say you should definitely do this. Gary - I got my bumper and side skirts installed a little over a week ago, and it looks AMAZING! It took a couple hours making sure the fitment was perfect with even gapping (I'm a perfectionist), but I think it turned out great! thank you! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...80907341dd.jpg however, I was very confused with the tabs on the foglight trim, and accidentally broke the trim when I was cutting the tab off (It wouldn't fit otherwise!). Do you happen to have any lying around? Also, are you able to source a rear bumper? I have an 03 e320 that doesn't have exhaust cut-outs... and figured instead of cutting or buying used, I could get one from you if available. Let me know! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c86a22c45b.jpg |
The car looks amazing. Please email me about your concerns and needs. I just got back from oversea. I am having some jetlag, it might take me a day or 2 to get back to you. Thanks.

So true lol! Thank you much.

I had a minor accident resulting in the need for a new bumper, grill & hood.
Can anyone tell me how much ground clearance I'll lose when I swap to the Suvneer E63 front bumper + lower lip spoiler? We just got 9" of snow in Detroit so losing a couple inches might be an issue. |
With my OEM E63 bumper and Godhand front lip I have about 6.5" of clearance. That's with the car parked on a level surface in sport 2.
You'll have more space since the E320 sits higher than an E63. |

Curious if the ROW fix changes other settings.
MB dealer had my W211 for the fuel tank replacement. I offered them $50 to change the coding. I just received a voicemail saying the car is done but they noted the ROW "changed everything, not just the front lights". Curious if anyone knows what "everything else is? They've already closed for the day. Hoping to get an idea what I might be dealing with ahead of time.

I realize this is an old post but hopefully it can help someone else in the future researching this. I confirm that this change does work correctly, although not cheap. However it is a proper fix and not a work around.

What is the largest aftermarket heat exchanger this bumper can fit? Looking at the Eurocharged (large) version, but don't want to have to trim the crap out of the bumper. I did read that the E63 bumper allows for a bigger HE without it bowing out the bottom.

ok so my last reply didn't post....
if I missed it in these 26 pages, is there a DIY write-up for transferring over the parking and distronic sensors from an old E63 to new E63 bumper? Also, for those that just got the bumper painted; did you have concerns of the paint not matching to fenders and hood? I got a quote of $2k for the bumper painted (no install as I'll do myself), hood resprayed to cover chips etc, and blending with fenders; as that was recommended by my area popular & reputable shop. To save cost maybe just the bumper, don't know. I just don't want any transition paint differences. thanks for all your input! |
Mitsumark Beautiful car , where in NJ you from, I wanted to do this but was not sure how it would look

Just received my Suvneer E63 front bumper, sans hardware! Can't install the foglights, foglight grills, or just about anything else. Anyone else have this problem? I emailed Aeroplug, we'll see what happens.8.5.2

I don’t know who Aeroplug is, but the bumper and parts are directly from Suvneer. Check his website to see if the kit is different from yours. |

Is it to OEM Specifications? Do you have any OEM part to check fitment? |
I just emailed Gary, but anyone know if he's still selling this front bumper setup for the w211 wagon?
Or even better, sides and rear as well? |
