Anyone saying 10's will be easy, big blower or not, is woefully misinformed.

I hope the record is broken this year. But it has been my experience that with each new record, it more often than not takes two seasons to fall.

And when it does it will probably be at MIRicale, hope I'm there!

Good luck guys, I'm thrilled with 11's....lol.

I think were finding out 10's arent really that hard with the right mods and most of all the right track. I'm lucky enough to have one of the fastest 1/4 strips basically in my backyard and 2 1/8 mile strips within 2 minutes of my house for testing different set-ups. Theres no doubt in my mind i will be in the 10's this year at full weight. (full interior and exhaust)

How many guys are there in the 10's right now, on this board, and how many have been chasing that milestone?

The answer to the first question is, 2!!!
The answer to question two is, 100's!!!

Not to be a jerk man, but you are still way off that mark. LowPro can attest to how hard it is too hit the number, guys are throwing it around like it is the norm, as I mentioned above, the stars have to align perfectly to get there.

BK is the king right now, and it takes ALOT of planning out your combo, plenty of trial and error, and near perefct conditions which he can attest too. The brotha is so humble, so I doubt he would come in here and say how much effort it takes, or that it is a quick 1-2-3 of throwing mods on your car and saying, hey here I come 10's....

Wait, what?

I'm shooting for 8's with street tires and a stock pulley....

Everyone is entitled to their opinion about how "easy" it will be to break the current record, but I'm quite sure that the folks at TTM aren't going to just wait around all year while everyone else plays catch up....

For fun, I will make a prediction that in 2012 TTM will break their current record before anyone else has a chance to get there.

The wildcard in all of this will be the introduction of some new "disruptive technology" (EvoSport TMC and/or Weistec blower) that will suddenly add a TON of extra HP to the party.... at that point, it will come down to who's got the biggest wallet, because the costs of being the "big dog" will be heading to a whole new level.

I see what your saying about how many people have wanted to run 10's and didnt do it but if you want to do something bad enough then you can do it. I've ran 11.30's on a 175 pulley at 4500lbs on junk drag radials and the car spinning into 2nd gear(Ahmad can atest to this). Now im not saying its super easy but with good track prep and good weather (MIR has alot of that usually) 10's arent going to be that hard and i will prove that soon enough. If you brought your car up for the last rental you would of been close to BK's record im sure and for sure well into the 10's. Last year i never tried to run a 10 and after getting way closer than i thought i even would i will be in the 10's this year.

I think i'm going to bring a generator and a few fans next time to help you get that V-12 cooled off. That car has 10's written all over it if it would just cool off.

Why dont you add meth brotha That will be a consistent 10 second sled, even on the street, and I bet your V12 will eat that s**t up

I don't get why guys bring all this cooling s**t to the track, cool their car down so much like it originated in the North Pole. It makes more sense to keep the beast cool at all times with a modification, no matter what it is, choose your venom of choice, and run with it. That way, whether you are doing real world runs down in Mexico, or running at a private 1320 event, your car will be dead on consistent.

Running a 10 at the track because you sprayed the entire car down with nitrogen compared to prowling the streets, where you wont have a fanboy cooling the car down for you, there will be a major swing in how your car performs.

That is why to me, real world street action down in Mexico is where it really counts, that seperates the boys from the men. A real fast street car is what counts, not a track queen or dyno queen

Stage 3 63
I will be running on a public track and waiting in a cue of 80 cars
As I hear alot of guys on private tracks spay most of the track and they only have 5 cars running on the track so the prep is a big advantage.

You might run 10s sooner than you think, keep at it!

Ill take a private track rental anyday over a crowded track any day. If you want to run big and set records, you have to control every bit of your racing environment as possible. Heatsoaking in line isnt gonna do it, and doesnt prove much.

this doesnt represent our average track rentals, and actually presents a DISadvantage. Track will get cold and traction compound will harden, as well when running multiple cars the cars running real rubber lay it down on the track and help lay a nice base.

Going to be an awesome year! !! No doubt there are going to be quite a few more guys gunning for the tens. Sometimes all you need to do is to see it done...and that changes everything. Once you know it you can do it, your thinking changes, and soon all the pieces fall into place.
I have some changes planned but nothing major...more or less just testing out different combinations. There is still a little more left in the current combo so I will try at least one more time to improve before any changes are made.

With my Kleemann headers pulley and tune, I will be happy in the low 11s.

If I get the car back together before the next rental I'll be in the 10's no doubt. I've ran several 1/8 mile times that would put me in the 10's but the car was pulling timing like crazy up top but I've got that problem taken care of now.

How are you keeping timing/iat's in check?

Meth is great when you have someone that knows how to tune with it and use it correctly and i must admit im jealous that you have Jason there local to you for your tuning needs i really wish we had someone we could trust out this way.

Last time I checked when we all go to the track it's to run as fast as possible so I don't get your "fan boy" statement but whatever. Last time I checked 99% of us drive around on the streets with full interiors and exhaust not to mention I think most of us use pump gas on the streets not C16. I think we need to get all of our cars together this spring/summer and do some racing in Mexico and some 1/4 runs to see what happens. That V12 monster is going to own the roll races but I might have something for him... Just not in the E55

I was battling my IAT's and found that my heat exchanger was clogged so now with ice in the tank I start a run at around 36 degrees and end around 100-110. I also had a bad map sensor that was causing a lot of problems.
