IC Pump - really?

Older IC pumps are known to die, there was an updated bosch pump that is better, but for the money, a Meziere or Johnson is an equal or better and cheaper option to the stock updated bosch. If you want to stay stock, I just replaced my almost brand new stock updated bosch pump with a cm30, so it is available, just pm me.

Eveyrone, and it's cheap too. $200 or so for pump and install. I had my car for 1 week, only 23k miles on it and when I'd do repeated romps, the IC Pump cut out and the SC wouldn't engage and I'd have no power. It would come back in 10-15 seconds, so I just replaced the IC pump and never have had a problem since!
First, "Mod" eveyone should do.

2005 E55 AMG
All supercharged V6 and V8 AMGs from 2002-2006 have the same crappy original pumps. They all fail. Usually between 25,000 and 60,000 miles. It's an easy fix though.

2006 Mercedes E55
is there an easy way to tell besides logging ? My car has chrysler extended warranty so want to know what to say when go to stealer to get them to look at it. I'm not sure mine is dead but car definitely performs very differently in 30 - 45 degree weather vs 45 and above. In the colder weather it feels like when I first purchased it.

try drag racing a couple times. It will be all good until you slam on the accelerator and...nothing. You'll know.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Running a WP136 on stock cooling, I noticed my temps were higher vs the Bosch '10 pump and 30 pump. Flowed too fast to cool. All about balance.

Mine as well replace it anyway instead of guessing. Cheap fix anyway. Feels like a e320 with a dead pump. You'll know it.

If it didn't then our 5.5L V8 without the SC turning should still give us great power. (400HP range.)
So do the pump, you will not be disapointed!

Even with the stock pump still functional (buzzing and water flow when removing bleeder cap) my Super Charger would shut down after a couple of pulls on the freeway. So even if not completley dead, a failing pump creates issues.

I've heard some threads state the cm30 pump breaks down and the updated Bosch pump is better and others say the CM30 is a better pump. Is the different the CM30 flows more but breaks down and the new bosch is more reliable but doesn't break down as much ? I having some repairs done so was going to replace the pump at the same time and needed to determine which one to buy.
