Eurocharged TCU Upgrade Review
After months of procrastinating I got the Eurocharged TCU upgrade on my car. I was with Jerry when he was dyno tuning a E55, and saw what the TCU upgrade did on a high hp E55. After seeing this I went and pulled my TCU out. The whole bench flash process took about 10 mins, no soldering a chip etc etc involved. From what I understand this was the revised TCU file. With this file, I dont have any 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shifting issues that were mentioned in another thread.
I drove the car for a bit to let all the adaptations set. Shift times are greatly improved, torque management was also addressed in this upgrade. In M mode the car shifts so much more faster. Another advantage of this is that when you are in dyno mode and on the dyno you can stab the car at any rpms and it will not down shift.
Great upgrade I recommend you all get it especially on high HP 55k

I already paid. Just looking for a day I can take off work to meet up with Jerry. Might have to get sick soon.

I got my TCU done before the private rental at PBIR. And I couldn't be happier! The car shifted so smooth down the track it was amazing. Thank you Jerry!!

It sounded like people with all sorts of different ECU tunes had the issue (not vendor-specific) and Jerry had a workaround for the EC customers... even sounded like he was willing to "patch" other tunes to fix this particular issue, but implied that was more of a "call me to discuss" kind-of-option.
Maybe I just misread the previous thread...

FWIW....I have an OE tune, and a Speedriven TCU tune, and I felt this WOT hesitation from 2-3rd, last time out at MIR.
On the 600, of course.

I'm sure I'll get bashed, but are there any mileage improvements with the TCU tune? maybe too soon for Shardul to tell, but others?
it was a nice side effect when we had our truck tuned, MPG on the highway went up about 3-5mpg because of less clutch slippage, and better torque mgmt to get you on down the road...
obviously not the main goal in this thread, but a nice side effect for those of us with daily driver E55s

My mileage is 17.8mpg driving to the hospital and back averaging 48mph given that I have to leave my neighborhood etc. this isn't an appreciable change from stock.
However, because the car is so much more of a driver's car and much more fluid with the tunes, I tend to drive it like I stole it a lot more.
So if you're like me, you will get worse mpg on average but you will like that you get worse mpg because you will enjoy it more.

So folks talk about the transmission /ecu going into limp mode due to too much torque. I am guessing there is an algorithm and value to trigger the limp mode. Is this addressed or altered in either the ECU or TCU tune and if so what parameters are changed?

I had the hesitation after the TCU tune. EC recommended I disconnect the battery overnight and I did. After reconnecting the battery the car no longer has hesitation issues and shifts AWESOME. Makes driving the car much more fun

@Greg
Well I did call and I am waiting for the fix.
The O.P. said nothing about having his ECU flashed with his TCU so I was asking if they found something they could via TCU.
All I asked was for them to chime in with a "please".
I'm trying to be a good patient customer.
I have bought
EC ASP 180
EC heat exchanger
EC ECU upgrade and had this changed to OE flash loader and I didn't have any issues with EC's file at all.
EC TCU
So I am a customer.
I know when modding there are risks and hick-ups that happen.
None of my questions are meant to be hostile just trying to understand what I need to do to make my car whole again.

Sounds like I will have to send mine back in, since there is now an updated flash, and had some issues with the initial flash.
Jake, Jerry, I will hit you via email playas

I have jerry's ecu and now the tcu tune. I gotta say that I was hoping for more of a bang on the 1-2 shift. I haven't had a chance to run the car at the dragstrip, so if I pick up .2 sec like I did after the tcu flash in my 2006 gto I'll be satisfied.
My gto would ignite the tires in the 1-2 shift after tcu tune
