Did you install them from "the underside" of your car?
Did you have problem to intorduce the into the engine bay to their final position?

The headers were done via a lift and were installed from under the the car. Only issues were that it was a tight fit for some of the nuts/bolts. Def would be good to have another person to help or one of those exhaust extension holders to hold the parts up.

I love these headers .. some of the nicest made headers I have seen. They're expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. I installed these myself with just Jackstands in my garage so it's definitely possible! No engine lifting needed. Just need to disconnect the steering collar close to the headers. Make sure your steering wheel is not set all the way forward so the collar can slide out. That was my only gotcha in the whole install. One thing I would do differently is get them with cats .. I got mine without and the smell gave me a headache. Ended up getting some aftermarket ones. Everything slips together which is nice but I wish they had stuck to V-band clamps.

Do you mean the steering wheel should be closer to the driver seat or closer to the gauge cluster?

Usually about a week for ARH headers. I think you've gotta change the part after the collector to run on your SL. I have an extra set here I want to put on my SL, I'll let you know what's gotta be done if I get around to it before you get new headers. Should be way cheaper since you won't need the mid pipe.
