Hey Darren G. you're a loser.

I sold this guy a set of BRAND NEW Suvneer fog lights, which were still FACTORY SEALED and he recived them in THE SAME BOX that I recieved them for Gary. This guy waits almost three days to tell me one sounds broken and five days to send me a pic of it with a couple pieces of plastic sitting next to it. No detailed photo of where the pieces came from on the fog light. He tells me he wants his money back because the item broke in transit. I said, not my fault you should have asked me to insure the package. So now this guy takes it to Paypal and I escalated this to a claim because I did nothing wrong and have nothing to hide. I hope the nice people at paypal review this claim and throw it out. You're fault, not mine Darren. Now be a good little boy and deal with your mistakes.

I know your a good dude, so this guy is probably a clown. I would always only deal with member that someone can vouch for or you get stuck by a clown like this one. Good luck bro!

Unfortunately, you are correct. Paypal usually sides with buyers in these situations.

PayPal will side with the buyer. They will require the buyer to send the material back broken or not. Sellers always lose with PayPal. Your screwed.

Yea hate to say it but I've been down that road years ago and PayPal sides with the buyer almost always.

Paypal sucks *****.

It's great if you're a buyer.

If you're a seller? Best to take Money Order or Cashiers Check or Cash.

I've seen this situation happen way too many times.

Only way you can win is maybe making a insurance claim if shipped through FedEx/UPS OR appeal the case saying they were used maybe?

Bryan-
Good Luck with this issue. Seems like you have a nasty cloud following you around lately. Hopefully you got that issue with B. Gorman sorted out.
As I mentioned earlier, if you need my help just PM me.
Don't freak when you find out that paypal will side with the buyer. You can be right all the way down the line, but paypal will always side with the buyer and the buyer can leave all kinds of feedback against you and you can't say a word. Totally one sided.
Good luck with getting this worked out.

Bryan, PayPal does side with the buyer typically, but calling them on the phone and talking to a live person does wonders. Give them a call and explain to them exactly what happened so they can document it.

Why? You as the seller have to make sure the item gets to the buyer in the conditon advertised. The onus is on you, not him. Sorry but I sell stuff all the time and I don't see how he is in the wrong, even if he waited 5 days to inform you. Some people don't open items right away that's why return policies are usually 30 days from date of purchase. It's just how things are, if he wants his money back because the item he received was damaged that's his prerogative.

I agree. Not being involved means we don't have all the facts from both sides, but how would anyone feel if they received a item broken in the mail. That just plain sucks, and I know we've all had that happen.

If you sell on paypal make sure to place a note on there stating that the customer inspects the product prior to a release signature for the carrier. This will help the case with paypal.

How many carriers will actually wait around for you to open a part though? My guy drops and runs.

First and foremost, I don't appreciate being called a loser on a public forum Bryan! Second, you claim that you sent factory sealed packages but you really sent 2 fog lights that were already partially opened by you, the bags were NOT completely sealed as you mention. Third, I received your picture copy of the USPS receipt, but unforunately you covered up the date and transaction number in order to file a claim. I asked you again the same day you sent them to me to get me another copy of the USPS receipt (for claim purposes) and you then said you threw it away after cleaning your car. I'm not even sure I could have even filed a claim since they weren't insured or sent priority mail. It's really NOT my fault you didn't package them correctly or insure them for a few more bucks (they are fragile). I will deal with whatever I have to, but I feel this is not my mistake.

All this coming from a man who texts me: If you would like an opinion of my character, you can get in touch with Bruce of TTM and ask him about me.

I have no Ill will against you Bryan, and Have a Great Day!

If the package seal was NEVER broken, that means you didnt even look in it to see if everything was right. It may have been broken during shipment to you. The guy could be telling the truth unless you opened the package and checked all the contents before you shipped.

Unless you require a signature. The actual insurance contract of these carriers requires the customer to inspect the package before signing for the package. If you read the fine print, that's what it entails.

This is a spat between the two parties that the rest of the forum does not need to take sides on.

To the OP and Darren, take it to email or PM's please. This has nothing to do with the W211 AMG or MBWorld.
