3M Di-Noc long term results.

A bout 2 or 3 years ago. I got my roof on my SL covered in 3M Di Noc carbon looking stuff. Arfter much time in the Arizona heat and sunshine, this is what it looks like. Its falling a part and I either have to have it redone or removed. I've seen some cars online that are totally warped int he stuff, or even people doing their car interior trim. I know the inside of my car gets blistering hot, So over time I would thing those would start failing as well. Maybe a bit longer than my roof did...IDK

Anyways take a look for yourself.

You might want to contact 3M, they have warranties on there product. I had a friend with a similar issue. His CF wrap lasted a little less than 2 years but the weather date was 5-7 years, so they sent him a small roll for free.

I was hoping for the same thing, paint damage would suck.

Keep in mind I do live in Arizona where the temps can get really high and the sunshine is just about every day.

Same deal here too. Like stated above I hope there isnt any damage to the paint. How do you plan on taking it off? Heating it up with a heat gun or just pulling it straight off?

I always worry something like this will happen with any kind of wrap so I avoid the stuff like the plague. In the end its a sticker and it will wear out one way or another sooner or later. Usually sooner rather then later.

My car has a clear bra on it that's in good shape still but I always worry about it starting to peel or turn yellow. Wish I knew exactly how old it was.

I'm not going to take it off. I'm going to have a place that installed it do the removal. I'd mess it up for sure.

Yea thats a good idea, Ive seen a few shops heat a section up to get a corner off the car and use adhesive remover or goo gone depending on how bad it is. Good luck with this and hope all goes well!

I actually looked this up awhile back because I wanted to wrap something.

Basically, they don't warranty the product once it's been installed. Outdoor use is determined to be 3 years if it's been repeatedly exposed to sunlight. 12 years if it's mostly indoors. This is based off their own testing I guess.
