NICE

chawkins2001 08-21-2012 09:15 PM

Honestly, i think it looks better without the engine cover so you can see the blue valve covers. Is that powder coat or paint?

It's paint. But I wish I powder coated it cause any nic will chip the paint

Plus your right about the blue with the red. But I already have the python cf tubes coming hopefully next week it will add a nice touch.
Thank you sir!

Looks great...May I ask a question regarding the catch can ?

It looks like the line from the valve cover is T'd before the can, wouldn't that negate the effectiveness of the can ? Meaning all air coming out of the valve cover should first route through the can and then onto wherever you want it to go....

I have routed it wrong on the driver side I need to hook it up to the valve cover hose like I did on the passenger side.
Check out this diagram you t it off both side of valve cover letter'd A

:)

Also, what is line C in the diagram you posted used for ? Is there an inline valve ? If not I would add another catch can or filter here as well.

It is a discussed issue about putting another catch can filter there as well here is a link that discuses it in more detail and better then I would lol.

The ideal method would be using two catch cans, LSX owners do it all the time and it works.

The most important hose would be the one entering the TB. Remember to baffle the catch can if it opens.

Nice pics of your engine bay. Here is mine with cf tubes i finally installed. As for the Catch can, I got my fab tech catch can and just waiting til its cooler temps outside to install it. It was good to have instructions (written) but pics are alot easier to visualize what needs to be done in routing the different hoses.

Well first with all do respect to fab-tech great prducts and help:)

The two t's were the wrong size the black1/2" T is to big get one size smaller
DRIVER SIDE
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...75db142dd9.jpg
the brass T is to Small get one size bigger from home depot 3/8 barb x 3/8 mip ( part #a-294)to make it fit. You will need to snip a bit off the hose barb on each side to slide the two hoses going to each other side of the valve cover :smash:
PASSENGER SIDE
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...9e6d3ae33c.jpg

Plus it's a real tight fit next to the cabin filter but that is the only place To really put the catch can to where you can get to it for draining the oil. plus on the passenger side it's really tight fit to put the filter intake box back on the valve cover cause it will hit. So finagling is a must
