Simple answer, shorter gears IE 3.55's Multiply Engine power/Torque to the wheels substationally.. (I went from 2.73's to 3.90's in my past C6 Vette w/Auto 4 speed = to 4.11's on 6 speed manual.. made HUGE difference in acceleration from dig & thru 2nd but absolutely killed Top-End)

I think we need some video of the gauges
I don't have much knowledge in rearends/gearing in cars, now if changing the gearing would you need a different LSD,? I have a Quife LSD and am not exactly sure what gets changed and what teeth hit what in there.
I have never messed with gearing in any cars but always have with motorcycles by changing sprocket sizes and that certainly made massive differences in acceleration.

I know that, but don't know what touches what in there. As in if this different gear ratio change would not bolt up with LSD or if these gears even touch it.

This should help. When the diff is gutted you can see the pinion gear attached to the drive shaft. Then the ring gear, the big one in the next pics, is what's swapped with the pinion gear. Not swapped WITH, but both changed with new gears.

You mean shorter? No doubt, we have the torque to lengthen gears and launch but if the OP can find a way to hook with 3.55 gears, then well have a REAL gamechanger. Then there's always the Weistec route, but let's not open that can of whoop *** until we find out how the OP's car handles the gearing on the track.

^^^ that's what you want. Taller tire means a bigger contact patch so better traction. Going from a 26" to 28" tire with the right gearing will make a significant difference in 60 foots.

You're inputting more power from the engine into 1 revolution of the tire. The same way pulleys allow you use less energy over a longer period of time to move the same amount of weight. Let's say your transmission is in 4th gear, that's 1 to 1 in our transmissions, on a stock car the engine is going to spin 2.65 times and the wheel is going to spin once, on mine the engine is going to spin 3.55 times and the wheel is going to spin once. You're engine obviously makes more power in 3.55 revolutions then it does in 2.65 revolutions, so you gain some mechanical power from the gears.

Yea Jerry did this on Clk55 before.
Can you get traction in first gear? I think 3.55 is too aggressive for a street car. High revs with a loud car on the highway would be super annoying. Did you had to shim the gears? I know it had to be done on the clk but we used a srt diff

Stock
1st = 52mph
2nd = 85mph
3rd = 132mph
4th = 187mph
5th = 225mph
3.55
1st = 39mph
2nd = 64mph
3rd = 99mph
4th = 139mph
5th = 168mph
168mph rev limited top speed!!
3.23
1st = 43mph
2nd = 70mph
3rd = 109mph
4th = 153mph
5th = 185mph
I think this is better...no need for 200mph top speed runs and 2nd gear isn't as short as 1st used to be unlike the 3.55 where 2nd gear is almost as short and the 2.65 1st.

The output of the transmission spins 3.55 time and the wheel will spin once. The stock is 2.65. The number has nothing to do whatsoever with how much horsepower the car can handle.
I'm running 265/40/18 MT ET Streets II and it doesn't spin any of second. Of course it's not comparable running even the best street tires to running MT's. The gears are made by Richmond Gears and they're for Chargers and Challengers that have a 215mm ring gear in the diff. You can get them for around 550.00 a set. They also make 3.23 if you want something less aggressive.

i have a cls55 an if stock is 2.65 i would luv to make this change
will we need re tuning for this

3.23 is not that much different from 3.55 ..
